We had a lovely stay for a few days in Pauanui - a group of 9 fit comfortably, and the fire in winter was lovely. This bach is rustic - down to the delightful mismatched glasses obviously collected over the generations of family who have used it - which is part of its charm. Great place for kids and teens.

This place is a perfect location only a few metres from the beach. The set up is perfect for a big family or a group of friends. We had a lovely time here. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you

We had a great stay, the house was well set up for a large group and had everything we needed. It was so close to the beach and lovely to be able to walk down there to check out the conditions with a hot cup of coffee in hand. The kids had a blast and so did the adults. Thanks for having us!

This was a great location and roomy accommodation for a large group (11) however we did feel when having to supply our own linen that we shouldn’t be expected to unmake the beds and remake them for the owners before leaving. Some of the old outdoor furniture could also be discarded.

We all loved the place, the house was amazing and very cozie , the host was amazing as well , very helpful. All in all even though the weather was not the best we enjoyed our stay.

This awesome 1970s holiday home is worth its weight in gold! Our extended family has stayed here several times before and we always have a great time! The weather was a bit windy & the coastline of the fabulous beach had been gobbled up by the recent cyclone, but we walked, swam, strummed guitars & sang, & had lots of fun. All our family loves staying at this holiday home. The owner (Rowan) is very nice too. The house is well-stocked with everything you could want for your holiday. Pauaunui is such a unique place to have a holiday with the extended family. (We were 3 generations.) It's not very often we can all get together like this - and it's just magical when we do. Thankyou Rowan, for offering your lovely beach house as a holiday home!

Only gave 1 rubbish bag for a 4 day stay. And only 4 rolls of toilet paper for 10 people for a 4 day stay. That was the only downside

The group had a lovely stay at Pauanui, the house is so close to the beach and the view is lovely. Ideal for bigger groups with plenty of space!!

A lovely place to spend a long weekend relaxing with family. We loved sitting on the on the deck and watching the sea in the evening, the teenagers loved the proximity to the surf, and the fire was so cosy when the weather turned bad.

Great family spot!
Had a wonderful stay. The photos don’t do it justice. Great deck with view of sea. Short walk to beach for swims. Huge bunk room for kids. Heaps of areas to hang out with large kitchen and tables inside and out - so great for friends/families staying together.

Return visit to paradise
This property is a fabulous place to share special times with friends and family. Beautiful position and gorgeous views from the deck. This is our 4th visit and I am sure that we will be back.

enjoyed the beach which is very close to the batch.
Good for a family stay we had 10 no’s. Helpful neighborhood when gas for BBQ ran out around 8.30pm we were able to borrow the gas bottle from the Neibour in the front. Unfortunately it did not have much gas either.
Suggest to have some solution to avoid this type of trouble.

Great house for us to stay in and enjoy the weather. Nice easy walk down to beach.

Winter Wonderful
Such a great house that the whole family can fit in! We went with 3 couples and 5 kids and never felt cramped. With the fire burning it was such a cosy space. It had everything we needed and Kim was incredibly prompt in responses to questions. We can’t wait to go back!

Lovely owners
Our stay over the June Queens Birthday weekend was one of the biggest storms I have ever experienced, so not alot of beach time - The house was perfect, had plenty of room for two families, a fantastic and efficient wood burner that keep us toasty warm. The house and location is a fabulous - the storm caused road closures and at one point we were thinking we may not be able to get home, the owners were so generous and offered for us to stay another night (which was lovely) !

Favourite place
My most favourite place to stay in Pauanui, hands down! Completely loved it, has everything you want, so close to the beach, such lovely relaxing spaces. Plan to go again as soon as possible!
