close to everything, responsive host, well appointed cabin

It was our first time to Tahoe to snow ski. 1 mile to slopes. Very clean and comfortable. Pots and pans were in the kitchen for our use. The only---the ONLY suggestion would be to get a bigger inline water heater but it worked and we had hot showers just not the volume that we selfish Americans are used too. Great place for a ski weekend with a couple and two friends. Small but had everything we needed and you can't beat the location. A deck of cards would be a good addition.

Cabin was very clean. Equipped with what we needed. Beds were very comfortable. It was perfect for what we were doing.

The cabin is beautifully maintained and ideally situated, a half mile walk to the lake. The neighborhood is quiet, but we were able to get to stores and restaurants in minutes. Thanks again, Daniel, for a great stay!

Great location - within walking distance of Heavenly Village (15 mins) but you’re living in the woods! Cozy cabin with very comfortable beds and excellent range of appliances and utensils. Nice having an outside space with picnic table. Great communication with owner, Daniel. There were only 2 of us staying so it felt spacious - might be a bit cramped with 4 adults. Note - there is no air con (not common in S.Lake Tahoe because it’s mainly a ski resort) so it would be hot upstairs in normal summer weather. We had cold weather (in August!), so we slept well. I took off 1 point from the overall score because of a few minor issues - there is no dining table, it’s very dark downstairs, it’s quite near a main road so expect some traffic noise and only found 1 wine glass. But apart from that, it was excellent!

the twins bed was very uncomfortable, no AC so it very hot and the windows fans no help.

Stayed for the last week of July, mostly by myself but also with two others for two nights. Bearstone is a small and cozy cabin but never felt cramped. Daniel was a very responsive host, both before and during the stay (especially when the power in the neighborhood went out for a few hours one day). The cabin amenities are good, particularly the 1.5 bathrooms, the full-size oven and the nice large refrigerator/freezer. Definitely enough space and amenities to eat all meals "at home" (mostly at the picnic table). It also has a good driveway for two cars. In the area are some easy walks, such as Ski Run Marina, Whole Foods, and a small Friday night Farmers Market with live music (Jun-Sep, I think) that is only five minutes walk away. There are also a number of good bike rides nearby. I especially enjoyed discovering the bike path through Bijou Park, not far from the cabin. You can also bike to a number of beaches (try Regan Beach and park in the late afternoon). Overall, Bearstone Cabin is a great place to stay during height of summer. You are close to lots of things but away from the crowds. I definitely hope to return.

The place was in a great location, close to everything. You can walk to many places if you like to take walks. Clean place.

Even though there was still a lot of snow❄️the walkway & driveway were cleared👍Daniel’s communication made our check-in simple, ahead of time. This cabin is decorated so cute🏚️w/2 bathrooms, one upstairs & 1 downstairs, the kitchen w/all you could possibly need. Lots of blankets came in handy & several wall heaters. 3 TV’s, unable to get the two upstairs, to work, the downstairs TV worked just fine. The location is near several restaurants & not far from casinos. We’d definitely rent this cute little cabin again💛thank you Daniel.

Exactly as described, located near everything we wanted to do in South Lake Tahoe.

While we hit a few bumps during the stay (mostly weather related), the owner was very responsive in communicating with us and addressing any concerns. Overall, the size of the place was a good fit for our 4-person group, and very convenient to Heavenly Ski Resort and strolls along Lake Tahoe.
