You can’t beat the view from the dock! Plenty of blankets and towels for everyone. Especially appreciated the extra thoughtfulness of the fishing poles and kcups/coffee available especially since we weren’t able to hit the grocery store beforehand. Sure you have to drive some to find stores and restaurants but I’d rather drive 10 minutes for that and stay where it’s quiet and peaceful! Definitely recommend

Of all the places I have stayed in past winters this is one of my favorites. A quiet neighborhood on the river, comfortable furnishings with a wonderful view of the river and the activities on it. I was there 3 months and had everything I needed to make my stay enjoyable. The lack of laundry facilities was a drawback but service by the owner doing bedding once a month was a plus and I found a laundromat a short distance away. Consideration and attention to any of my needs or questions were answered with a smile and a question returned to me asking if i needed anything. A special place to spend time and a special landlord.

Wife and I just spent our 18th anniversary here and loved it. The location is near a dam so boat traffic is next to nothing. Birds were everywhere and the location was amazing. The A/C works a little too well, and the onsite radio was fantastic. We kept it on low all weekend and it was background noise which was nice. The neighbors are very nice and easy to talk with. The boat dock is great with the chairs. We sat there for hours enjoying ourselves. We were looking for a location that was waterfront and had a hot tub, and even tho the listing says there is one there, there is no hot tub. That is the only negative that we had. The owners gave us advanced notice and gave the option to cancel, but we still wanted to go. Not sure why the listing still shows a hot tub tho when they know there isn't one there. We can see us going there with another family for all our kids to go swimming and stuff as there is a set of stairs to walk in / out, and a ladder to climb out with. But not for April when it might be nice, or freezing, or both in the same day :D

Very nice location right on the river. My son enjoyed trying to fish from the dock. Clean and comfortable for a nice getaway.

The place was a great stay for friends and family. Lots of wonderful places to hang outside, especially the balcony overlooking Lake Dunlap.

Loved the house will be going back to stay again! John was very nice and a pleasure.

Corn hole and grilling outside and drinking was great experience neighbor next door was nice too.

Nice quiet street, friendly neighbors and beautiful views! Granddaughter enjoyed fishing so much and there was plenty of space for all four of us inside and outside! Loved it!

Nice set up of space. We didn't end up going down to the dock area because by the time we'd get back it was so darn hot we just wanted to stay inside and we don't fish so can't review on it. We are all glad we brought an extra pillow since they are all pretty flat. Only real hiccup was the ac had gone out before we got there. Communication excellent, but it severely delayed us starting our vacation. We had to go find somewhere to eat, indoors (so hot), that took us awhile on a Saturday night that also didn't have an hour wait. Added an extra expense we weren't planning on for an adult family of 5 when I had brought an easy meal to cook which was part of the reason we chose to stay at a place like this. Eating out has gotten so expensive.

We had a great time. The weather did not cooperate however, the accommodations were great.

This place was amazing nice view, had games to play and the house was beautiful well kept.

This property was just as it is pictured. My kids thought it was cool and they are teens!!! Would definitely recommend this place!!

The property was bigger than I anticipated, which was a nice surprise l. Enjoyed the view in the backyard which was beautiful scenery with a calming river. My one and only complaint was the full sized bed might be a little older but that’s it. New Braunfels is a gorgeous town and I recommend combining this VRBO with a nice visit to town square for your trip!

The little cabin was just perfect for a short getaway. We were all comfortable and it was so relaxing. We had everything we needed and were able to cook and grill with ease. We just had a short drive to Rockin' R for our river float and an easy trip to Gruene for dinner one night. Thanks John!

It was a lovely place to spend a couple of days, and could easily have been a great place to spend a week.

We found this property to be clean and cozy. It does not offer wading or swimming, but is only a few minutes away from those amenities, along with other things to do. Keeps you out of the crowd when you want to be. Ideal for fishing!

Mr John had great Communication, and was pretty nice over all, the views are amazing. Very convenient because the tubing place is 14 Mins away!
