we love the quirky building, so much history

Great stuff, nice place in the heart of Visby

Loved the location. We walked through Reception out into the ruins of an old church, continued through a side gate into the botanical gardens, from where we could see the old city walls. Further along to the right, there was a tower within these walls which we were able to climb, with wonderful views from the top. This location is also about 5 minutes walk from many shops, cafes, other church ruins, and the cathedral. Staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was cold, but there were quite a few choices, and warm soft-boiled eggs. Appreciated the selection of fruit.

Nothing we didn't like, and the following are personal preferences only. Would have preferred a wider selection of breakfast cereals., for example, muesli. Only had granola (this mix didn't taste great to me unfortunately). There was also rolled oats. Initially, parking on the premises was booked out (only 5 spaces available), which created some stress. At that time, would have appreciated more information about the best places to park close to the premises, so could feel better prepared on arrival. Parking later became available.

Great location within the Visby city walls. Friendly, casual atmosphere. Comfortable room. Good beds. Good bathroom facilities. Good breakfast.

Initial access via narrow streets was a little intimidating late at night. Onsite parking is minimal and challenging.

I always am happy to get to a hotel with real metal keys instead of a card to swipe. The location and amenities were all far better than expected. Breakfast was wonderful. I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the courtyards and lovely outdoor seating more.

There was nothing I did not love about this hotel, or the town of Visby, or Gotland. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Hotel St. Clemens is ideally located, not far from all of the sites and attractions, but not right in the middle of the congestion. The staff was absolutely excellent, they were very helpful and accommodating. It is also very nice to have a ruins as part of the hotel property!

The room could have had a better means of ventilation, it got a bit stuffy overnight. Also, some blackout curtains would be helpful with the early sun rise.

Great location, you can reach any place within the walled city in less than 10 minutes or so. Some of the hotel buildings are from the 17th century and it's located just next to one of the church ruins in the town. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Our room was very small, although cozy and charming. The breakfast was good, the bread was great quality but it was almost the same every day. It could have included some scrambled eggs, or other hot dishes. Our stay was very expensive at 350 USD/night, but it was also in the midst of the peak season and there were very few hotels available.

Good breakfast, great location and very friendly and helpful staff.
