Clean, lovely staff. The bedrooms are basic and the communal areas very nice. But we could not use them as families had taken over the spaces

This is a great family hostel. Good kitchen facilities for one family to use. Small children like the location, Not a good choice for those not travelling with children.

A very interesting hotel with a classy vibe and a lot of good books!

Host was very welcoming and helpful. U enjoyed meeting a wide variety of people at the Centet.

Google maps had a hard time getting me there, it got close but there wasnt a direct oath to the Peace Center.

The location was ideal and the self check in is really helpful when arriving on a late flight.

My room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke - I'm not used to that in non smoking hotels.

The location is near to a bus station (Íþróttamiðstöð ÍR ~4min of walking). I was on the road for Vestmannaeyjar to take the bus early in the morning and it was easy to join Mjódd by walking (<20min). It is a reallly quiet place with one shared bathroom and kitchen (some supermarkets are near).

Pay attention to the kitchen: I have not success to use the hotplate and the dishwasher does not work. If you want to eat out, you need to walk more than 15/20min to the nearest one.

The bathrooms looks clean on the surface, but they are definitely due for an upgrade. The bathroom closest to our room was out of order (based on the color of the paper on the door, the out of order sign was not printed yesterday), the showerhead at the lower level was busted and you would have had to hold the shower head, the toilet-seat in the top floor was also busted and I dont even want to comment on the shower curtain. We had an early flight out and we knew the place will not be great, you pay for what you get.
