The Matisse Hotel is a great value for the cost to stay. The staff did everything to take the time for suggestions of food, tours, what ever you wanted or needed. Went beyond my expectations.

Interior room with no window looking outside but on the ground floor. The large window that looked to hallways had a blackout screen that ensured privacy.

the building was too loundy inside and outside, the windows and the bed were shaking everytime a bus passed, it gave a earthquake sensation constantly, the toiler flush was running non stop, wifi did not work properly, the room was too cold, floor was shaking on each step, no hand towel was given,

Elsy and Rafael (the receptionists) are excellent hosters. They made me feel as I was at home. Very helpful people and very attentive to my needs. The taxidriver (Oscar) is an excellent professional since he knows the city very well, and I advised me about places to visit in the city and joined me to most of them.

The location is great.

It's loud you can hear everything throughout the old building. Breakfast was just simple eggs and bread The room was not cleaned. Hot water is available 50% of the time, and only 1 person to shower. Had 2 showers 1 was warm the other ice cold.

The place is located in a cental and safe area. the room was spacious and pleasent. The staff was super helpfull and welcoming.

The bed and pillows were a little too firm me + it could have been even nicer if there was a way to hit up the room a little bit
