Very clean and well organized house. Owners were a delight to deal with and assured our privacy in every way. Beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood with easy access to town and the beach. Would definately stay there again.

This home has been beautifully renovated - the kitchen is exceptional - both in amenities and decor in the family room is quintessential shore and a pleasure to spend time in. Bathrooms and master bedroom are beautiful and the backyard was lovely. The house is meticulously clean. The hosts, Susan and Darren are extremely responsive and helpful. While not impacting my rating, the only "nits" were that the staircase had 3 steps without a rail (I'm a senior citizen) so that was a concern for me and the finished basement even with a high-powered humidifier was somewhat musty. It is truly a lovely home and was a pleasure to stay in with a good location and would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay. It was a perfect house for our family of 5! The property was immaculate and well maintained, but was also comfortable and we immediately felt right at home. Our three kids loved having a separate basement family room, and the adults enjoyed the open floor plan, the front porch, and the back patio. It is a great location, very convenient to our favorite Spring Lake shops and restaurants and close to the beach. We brought our bikes with us so going to the beach every day was especially easy with the well-equipped beach locker. All we had to bring with us were towels! Sue and Darren were excellent hosts; available and responsive to any question or concern. They made our vacation easy and hassle-free! We loved staying at their beach house.

Perfect summer get away an easy walk to town, beach and lake. The owners ensure the house has everything you could ever need. Relax and enjoy the gentle breeze on the front porch. Highly recommended and immaculate!!

I normally never write reviews but I think this is worth writing. We had a fabulous week in Spring Lake. This beautiful home is in an ideal location... easy walk to town and to the beach. The house itself is equipped with everything you will need; no need to pack a thing except your clothes! Sue, the owner could not be more helpful and pleasant. She is easy to contact and responds immediately to any communications. I would highly recommend this house !

It is unusual to find a property (especially at the beach) furnished, outfitted and maintained as a home rather than a rental for transients. This also applies to the outdoor furnishings and the large supply of beach equipment. Consequently, the owners are quick to remedy any malfunction or problem. The property’s amenities and location in a quiet neighborhood but convenient to the shopping district and beach made it ideal for a family ranging in age from 3 to 72.

In one word Wow! Our family with 2 grandkids and 4 adults had a great stay. The location was within distance of the town center where there Is a beautiful lake, bike and walking paths and a playground for the kids. The north end beach has 3 pools one for small children , one for those bigger and learning how to swim and a bigger lap pool. The stay came with a convenient locker adjacent to the pool and steps from the beach so you don't have lug stuff back and forth. The home was very comfortable for all. There is a play - living area that can accommodates the family and is adjacent to a fabulous kitchen . We used the backyard for some play and to eat out using the grill and some take out. Upstairs worked for the kids and adults. The playpen more than fit into the master bedroom. Plenty of closet space. Shopping for groceries is minutes away . Sue and Darren were great hosts. A place to go back to!

We came back for a second year to this charming home for a wonderful beach vacation. We all had a great time in this beautiful and well maintained property. The easy access to beach and pool with beach lockers make it so easy with 3 small children. We are looking forward to our return visit!

This house is ideal - perfectly suited to 5 - 7 people - and we found owners to be most welcoming & accommodating. House was immaculate upon arrival w/ beds made, towels hanging nicely in baths, area menus collected for dining out & take-out. Even provided a wealth of beach towels for guests to use! Available by text to respond to any questions, but not intrusive in any way. House: Simply love the open floor plan, hinted at from living room - flowing into kitchen & family room. Kitchen is well planned w/ separate areas conducive to gathering together for all meals - food prep, island eating, window seating. Patio is a good size & has great accessibility to family room - super spot for post beach & outdoor grilling. Outdoor shower is adjacent to a side door - making it easy to get from there into house - no need to trek across a yard full of guests in a towel! Town: what's not to love about Spring Lake?? Quiet beaches, walks on boardwalk & through town, beautiful parks, and playing tennis. A must-do: enjoy town from the seat of a bike ... in-town bike rentals make this easy!

despite my instincts (based on a VRBO review as well as a couple strange conversations with the owners) 8 rented this house for myself, my parents, my adult sibling and my three year old daughter over Labor Day. Unfortunately I wish I had trusted my gut as the owners not only invaded our vacation every day of our stay but also robbed us of over half our security deposit in one of the most ludicrous and insulting letters of grievances I have ever received. The house lived up to its expectations in that it is charming, well decorated, organized so nicely for guests and a great location. Sue, the owner, left a wonderful book for my daughter as a welcome gesture, but unfortunately none of that outweighs the extreme negatives that are unacceptable for renters. The owners found reasons to come to the property every day, and each time we were accomodating. Although it made my husband and parents uncomfortable, we were gracious and even went as far as to quickly vacate the home so the owner could show it to another prospect. The most intrusive was when the owner asked me if her son could come over and mow the lawn early one morning. I said yes and for the next two hours had to uncomfortably deal with her husband lurking around the backyard, front yard and garage. As my parents attempted to enjoy coffee in their pajamas, they felt incredibly uncomfortable being able to see the owner 10 feet away appearing to do nothing more than spy on us. Well after the son was done mowing, the husband stayed and at one point seemed to be watching the home from his car. Despite all of this, I was prepared against my husband's wishes to not submit an official review but instead email the owners with suggestions on how to make people feel more like it is their home for the weekend if they pay. That was until we received our security deposit back. The owners took over $600 of our money with unfounded and ridiculous charges such as "physical remnants and odor beyond description" in the master bedroom where my very tidy and clean smelling parents slept. There were false charges of evidence of smoking cigarettes and damaging the cushions with ashes. This is an outright lie. Most frustrating of the claims is a paragraph long rant about ants. Yes, within an hour of arriving, we found ants so out of pocket we bought ant traps since this is CLEARLY a common problem. If you value your privacy and money do not rent this home. We are insulted and will not be returning.

Exceptionally clean, well maintained and well-equipped. Convenient location to town and beach. Owner is very hands in and helpful. Provided useful guidance, beach and pool badges. Highly recommend for an affordable spring lake rental.

We had a wonderful time here - yet again! - perfect for the 5 of us & occasional grandparents. We love this house and can't thank you enough for leaving all the kid & beach stuff for us - those things make a world of difference especially since we come from afar.

We absolutely love this vacation home, so much that we've rented it 3 times over the past 5 years. The owners make you feel like it's your home and are always available, if needed. Over the years they beautifully updated their home and we benefit :) We will continue to rent this home and continue to make our summer memories here !

We absolutely do not recommend this rental property. This house is beautiful and the right price but it is not a rental property. This is the owner's personal home and they micromanage it in an obsessive manner that makes being a guest there miserable. They were apparently watching us and having their neighbors watch us during the duration of our stay and, unbeknownst to us, simultaneously creating lists of complaints against us. They accused us of unsubstantiated excessive damage in multi-paged legal documents delivered by certified mail after the conclusion of the rental. Accused damages included (but were not limited to - remember this was a multipage document): excessive water use and excessive sand in the laundry machine - at a beach rental house; missing silverware, two stained oven mitts, a missing bath towel and such. Furthermore, they sent in their cleaning person at a specific day and time (always Fridays) whether that is convenient for your plans or not. Again, it is their house and you are made to feel like you are a guest who needs to follow their rules as opposed to a renting user with associated rights. We were terribly sad to see the rental end this way and would caution anyone from renting this property. They are completely ignorant of normal rental arrangements because this is their home - NOT A RENTAL. We have rented high end homes (rental costs as high as $10,000/week) for years around the world through both VacationRentals.com and VRBO and never had a problem and never written a complaint. BE FOREWARNED. THIS IS NOT A SAFE RENTAL.
