The Budget Studio was relatively spacious and it was easy to access the key after hours. The facility options were pleasant such as having pools, hot tubs, a sauna, and a tennis court. The room seemed clean. The street is quiet, and the property is one street away from the beach.

The Catalina Resort milked us for every dollar. The "starter set" included one (1) bath towel each, one (1) tiny shampoo and conditioner bottle, and one (1) tiny bar of bath soap. There was not even a separate soap for the sink, so we went to the reception to ask for more, and they charged us $3 for the extra soap. We also tried asking for additional towels so that we wouldn't have to shower with our pool towels, and those were also $3 each. Additionally, the reception hours were pretty limited and it was difficult to reach the staff. The entire property is outdated, especially the halls and bathroom. In combination of these aspects and unsatisfactory customer service, it felt more like a motel, and certainly not a 4-star hotel as mentioned on Google.

The apartment had a layer of dust over every surface so obviously has not been cleaned for some time.

Very spacious rooms. Need more car parks though outside. Only 4 out of 6 beds were comfortable but overall good and relaxing

Excellent location, we had a 3 bedroom unit which was fantastic for myself partner, daughter her partner & my 2 granddaughters. Will definitley stay here again

Clean, tidy, great location close to the beautiful beach and shops. Views excellent and pool and spa area clean and well maintained.

Would be nice to have more bathroom amenities, toilet paper and bigger towels.

Sad to see the maintenance is low making the appearance look tired. It has always been the diamond in the crown for maroochydore with the views, location, and big rooms but the aging of the building the up keep is starting to show. Half painted posts around the pool area the old spar with sharp edges lights that flicker at night, in general when you walk around you can see things that should and can be fixed. Catalina has much competition and needs to lift it's game if it's to last in this competitive tourism market. When big money is asked Big things are expected. If owner occupied is your future market then that's fine. But if not your competition is out there offering bigger better and much more to attract the $$$$

The property was what we needed a clean, comfortable accommodation with enough space and the location of the apartment block was spectacular
