We loved this place! Perfect location, beautiful and spacious house, completely well-equipped with everything you might need or want. Property manager was so kind and helpful and made check-in and check-out seamless. Our group's age range was 12-76 and everyone loved it! Our group consisted of golfers, water enthusiasts and nature lovers. We were an active group seeking a beautiful home on the beach that offered conveniences for all our wishes. We loved our time at this property. We had studied this property extensively prior to booking. The home and surrounding area was just as expected. It is a lovely home with much charm situated along the coast of Puako, Hawaii. Our group consisted of four couples. All the 4 bedrooms were comfortable with air conditioning. We slept well. The downstairs two bedrooms shared a closet space and a bathroom. To enhance our privacy, one couple use the half bath right across bedroom entrance and we were able to easily share the adjoining closet and shower. Each bedroom had a private lanai which was nice for privacy when desired. The kitchen was well appointed and very clean. The living spaces were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. We spent most of our ‘at home’ time on the lanai’s or walking around on the lava to see turtles and aquatic life in the tide pools or in the ocean. The proximity of the home to the water is close. The beach beyond the home is primarily lava but there is water access nearby for snorkeling and other activities. The owners were very generous with their beach equipment, which made utilizing the ocean very convenient. The Orchid Fairmont is 15 minute walking distance on a trail along the beach. If you continue on you’ll reach the Mauna Lani resort and beach club. We were in Puako during whale season and enjoyed watching them all times of the day. The home is in close proximity to many other amenities such as restaurants, grocery store, and other resorts and beaches. The owners and local home manager were very attentive and helpful with our questions or requests. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family of seven, ages 23-81 and spanning three generations, had a wonderful stay at Mana Kai. What an incredible home!! It exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely stay here again. The location is central to beautiful, white sand Hapuna beach, high end resorts and most activities, while remaining private and secluded. To our delight there were kayaks, snorkel gear, beach chairs, towels and more to use during our stay. We kayaked out on the ocean frontage of the house and watched as spinner dolphins frolicked within feet of us. The kitchen was well stocked, and we used the heck out of the coffee maker. All the beds were comfy cozy and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was an absolute necessity, even in November! We were all sad to have to leave this little piece of paradise. We spent two weeks at this amazing beachfront property, while on the Big Island for Ironman Kona. We were joined by our three adult children, their significant others and two grandchildren ages 7 and 3. The house had plenty of space for all ten of us, without feeling crowded. The house is well furnished and stocked, throughout. Paniau Beach, next door, provided fun with the kayaks, boogie boards, and fantastic snorkeling. The beach path at Paniau led us to the Petroglyph Park, as well as the Fairmont Orchid for brunch or an evening meal when we chose not to cook. Tide pools provided much entertainment and there were sea turtles, almost daily, right in front of the house and along the beach path. Morning coffee views and beautiful sunsets are never ending on the lanai. This was our second stay at this property, partly due to the owners and house manager. Both were quick to respond to any questions or concerns and provided endless information for restaurants, outings, etc. We enjoy the quiet and well-situated location of this beautiful property and can't wait to return!

My family and friends loved our stay. The house itself is lovely, spacious, comfortable, with all the amenities you could want. The setting is stunning. The hosts and house manager were very friendly, helpful, and available for all of our questions. Can't wait to go back!

The location for this home is perfect and we loved our vacation in large part due to the special accommodations at this property. Our family of nine comprised of my husband and I, our four children (18, 15, 13, 11), my parents and my mother in-law fit comfortably in this incredible home which we used as a home base for our week stay on the Big Island. We snorkeled every morning (using the fins provided at the property in the garage - we brought our own dry snorkels and water shoes) and saw incredible fish, sea turtles, spinner dolphins, eels and other sea life. This property effectively includes a daily snorkeling trip for everyone by virtue of the proximity to one of the best reefs on the Big Island. The Property Manager and owner were both incredibly helpful and connected us to various options for a chef to come into the house and cook an authentic island meal for our family. Check in was easy. There were many other special amenities that show that the owners have thought through the details. For example, the shell collection is incredibly unique and special (needs dusting) and the entire family spent a lot of time looking at the collection. We loved the ability to sleep with the doors open and have a breeze constantly flowing through the house, including watching a movie in the family room with the doors open. The sliding door set up throughout the house is elaborate so you can close doors with a glass door, screen or shutters. Note to owners, a few of the screen doors in the main living area are sticking a bit and the tracks may need a little love. We loved this house and hope to visit again.

There are breathtaking sunsets every evening and we saw whales breaching more than once during our stay. The hosts were excellent communicators and made sure we were greeted by their property manager upon arrival. The house is well stocked and has most every kitchen tool and appliance you could need. There are also plenty of water toys for the beach. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this beautiful home!

Beautiful waterfront home at the end of Puako Road. Three master suites plus an additional bedroom make it great for families. Large open and airy kitchen/dining/living area and lanai with flow through breezes. Great access to the end of road beach and watersports put in spots. Very welcoming hosts and property manager. We'll be back.

We enjoyed an amazing two weeks at Mana Kai villa with adult family members. This is an outstanding beachfront property with ample amenities and fantastic ocean views. From the well stocked chef's kitchen to the abundance of watersports equipment, this house has it all. The owners were very helpful in providing information on restaurants, booking activities, etc. prior to arrival. Nikki, the local house manager, was awesome in answering questions during our stay. Mana Kai was so beautiful and relaxing, we didn't want to leave. Hope to visit again soon!

We had two families at this property for 9 nights, and we had a great time. Quiet location, beautiful views, and great to explore northwest side of island. Closeness to the water and good launch spot (25 meters away) for the kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkeling was a real hit with our teenager and college kids......and us old farts too! Sea Turtles basking in the sun each day right in front of the house was cool, and unique sunset's every night kept us relaxed.

We loved this location! Snorkeling off Puako was amazing. This house is just as described and offers so many great spots to jump in the water and see turtles, fish, etc. The owners have everything you could possibly need and are so attentive. Few tips worth repeating….pack snorkel shoes or use theirs. Climbing over the rocks to get to the water is rough on bare feet. Also stop at Costco. Local grocery stores and very expensive and the best views for meals are at the house. If you opt to eat out book weeks in advance. Nothing was available for prime dimmer times a week out and last minute plans do not work out well. Other places nearby that we had fun discovering: the octopus farm, 49’s black sand beach and the Mauna Lani sunset golf cart tour. Mahalo for the memories!! We hope to come back one day!

This house has it all ! Perfect for the person who loves the ocean and water sports. Beautifully furnished and stocked with almost everything you could need or want during your stay. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and the snorkeling was amazing Five star !

We had a great experience. The owners & managers were quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The views are incredible & we saw many whales & turtles. The layout was perfect for our 3 generation family but it would also work well for 3 couples. Highly recommend. We didn’t want to leave!

This property is outstanding. Puako is a hidden gem on the big island. Niki and Cristian are extremely accessible and lovely to deal with. Swimming is a little difficult but the pools out front make for a great relief from the hot sun. World class snorkelling and turtles galore! I hope this is the first of many stays.

The property was "tired" the management was fabulous.

Our family loved the house and the ocean right outside the door. The sound and sights of the ocean were amazing. We saw many green turtles on the lava rocks and swimming around in the pools at low tide each day. The snorkeling was the best we have experienced! The water was so clear and full of colorful fish. The house provides all the equipment, Just check everything thoroughly before you get out on the water, we had some mishaps with broken kayak seats and broken snorkeling masks that we didn’t discover till our on the water. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. We would love to come back again!

Our daughter was married at the Fairmont Orchid on June 23rd. While we stayed there for a bit, we soon moved into Mana Kai for a beautiful and relaxing stay. The tide breezes through the incredible home were unreal, and the entire home was comfortable and accessible. The managers were always available for questions. The tide pools out front became our daily spot to sit in with our champagne! Amazing! Our only suggestions: the freezer is not working 100% and the cleaning crew needs to clean the upper ledges of bugs regularly up high. You can see them as your walking on the upper level. Way to beautiful of a house to allow that to be there! Otherwise, perfect paradise. We will be back! Mike and Kim Gavin

Absolutely loved our stay! The house is unique and in prime location. Loved going to sleep with doors wide open and hearing the ocean. Our children enjoyed exploring all the things the ocean has to offer RIGHT in the back yard. Lots of fish and turtles visited us daily. Definitely recommend this house and we plan to come back!

My wife and twin boys loved Mana Kai. Beautiful home, Debbie was very helpful. We absolutely did not want to leave.
