It had unique character, such as that there were a few things left from the old bank - like vault doors and safes. The possibility to park bikes safely was good. Everything in the room and the bathroom was of high quality. Kitchen was amazingly well equipped. Bed was comfortable, we slept well. It was quiet. Flexible check-in with codes and information sent in advance was amazing and the communication from the hotel was clear. We got instructions in Dutch, English and German - delighted by that.

Very spacious and well appointed property. We thought that we may struggle with the electronic check in as we don’t have roaming internet but realised that the property’s internet password was included with the entry instructions which solved our problem. Location was very pleasant on a beautiful canal with lots of boat activity to keep us amused. Very close to the town centre & harbour. All the furnishings were well up to standard. Bike storage great- internet key to the door gave us easy access.

Brenda, the manager of the apartments, was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The location was very central, right on a canal of this cute little town of Harlingen.

It was surely clear that there was no elevator. Of course, when you travel with a baby and have many items, it is strenuous to carry everything upstairs. You just need to be in good shape. If you ask ahead of time, I think Brenda is so great that she would organize someone to help you :-).

Nothing to fault

Problem is: when you book you see all photos, but you don’t know that you end up with. Some rooms are great, others not so. More transparency would help customers see what they get when they decide to book or not.

Staff was very helpful and welcoming, covid mitigation was in place, the flat had everything to create a cozy environment and the views were also nice. Internet and wifi were good. In reality we had a very nice stay.

The bathroom is quite cold, minor issue. As some traditional Dutch homes steps are quite difficult, if you're older you may take that in consideration.
