You can't get any closer to the beach than this! The home is well appointed and was very clean. It is a duplex, but we never heard the people next door. We were able to sit and watch the water from inside the house or on one of he decks. Purely fyi - the parking is tight - we had two cars (SUV and Mustang) and I don't know that you could park more than that. Bottom line - you can't go wrong with Atlantic Horizons.

It is convenient to shops and restaurants, but far enough away that we had the relaxing experience we hoped for. I was a little concerned their might be pet smell, but there was none. The public parking next door was also not a problem. The beach was never crowded. The only slight negative was that the previous tenant left a lot of sand on the dining room chairs that was not cleaned and the decks were quite sandy.

Great views! Comfortable furnishings and layout. Outdoor showers were ideal for a quick rinse before coming in from the beach. I was even able to do a bit of telework very easily. We’ve booked ahead for next year. Note that there are many stairs and that the walk from the house to the beach would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

This property was fantastic. The only comment I would make is that the pictures showing the rear of the property do not accurately reflect the property. We chose this property because the pictures seemed to show direct access to the beach, which was important for one member of our party. What it does not show is the sand dune behind the photographer, which gave our party member some issues. Other than that the property exceeded our expectations.

It's decorated with a lovely beach theme throughout the home but it's tastefully done and the artwork is quality. It's started to show wear which is to be expected. The carpet smells musty now probably because of the pets but that's one of the amenities we love! Also, the king mattress in the second level master is extremely uncomfortable and it was difficult to sleep. All the pillows were small and uncomfortable too. I am still shocked though how clean this home has been kept through the years! It is the best rental overall that we've ever stayed in! I just can't say enough about the view, it's simply breathtaking! One huge problem that will probably keep us away is having to drive the extra 20 minutes to and from the rental agency (40 mins roundtrip) to pick up and drop off the keys at the end!

All I cared about was being on the beach in a comfortable house. This fit the bill perfectly. The entire family was thrilled. Literally you walk down the stairs and you're on the beach - it's not even one of those houses that's a bit back. Perfect.

There were approx. 40+ stairs for his to climb going into and leaving the house. Although we paid $300 for a dog deposit, there was no where for our dogs to even go to the bathroom. The shower faucets were covered in black mold. This could have been cleaned if broken down.

The employees at Carolina Shores Vacation Rentals were professional and a huge help in planning for our week at the beach.
However, three days into our stay, the WiFi stopped working. After several calls to the property managers and the cable company and one maintenance visit, it was discovered that the modem was the issue. The issue was not resolved during our stay, and I found in hindsight that it was not resolved for the next renters. After talking with a manager at CSVR, I was advised that the homeowners did not find it necessary to compensate us for the inconvenience. If the homeowners advertise WiFi as a amenity, it should work. It was necessary for several individuals to work during this vacation; after Tuesday, they were unable to do so from the beach front vacation home that included WiFi in the description, but was unable to provide properly functioning WiFi and had to leave the location to conduct business. SHAME ON YOU HOMEOWNERS!

The house is always in very good condition with something upgraded/new usually found somewhere in the house. OBX in general is a great place to come for a family vacation because you can relax and enjoy the beach or you can find non-beach activities at the drop of a hat. This house allows pets and is what attracted me to the home in the first place. The ONLY thing I am not a fan of is the extra fee for EACH dog. I understand the extra fee for one but whatever is done extra I am sure it is only done once ... not twice. The owners add a personal touch giving you a thank-you basket of goodies from the island during your stay. My family and I will be back ....

We were surprised by the cleanliness of the home and absolutely loved the view and beach. The kitchen was one of the best parts (besides the beach). The kitchen utensils made us smile. We promptly sent out and bought some of them for our home. Carolina shore rental was prompt and efficient when we requested help. Give this a 10 plus. Want to rent again. The kids never wanted to leave the beach. Thanks for a great vacation. We felt just like being at home.
