I reserved this house well in advance (5+ months) of my daughter's graduation to ensure I could host family comfortably. Although the house sleeps 10, there is no space to sit and have a meal except outside. The outside options are an old splintered and unstable picnic table and a rusted metal table. I advised the property manager of my challenge, having planned a private chef to come prepare a grad dinner. She did not help. As most proud parents would do, I improvised. Fortunately, the weather cooperated. We bought tablecloths, flowers, citronella candles and lights and made the best of it. Part way through dinner as the sun was going down, we were swarmed by termites. As we rushed into the house, they followed us in and started coming in under the back doors (from the walls). I advised the property manager of the termite infestation. She never responded. There were other problems, but I don't have time to document them all. DO NOT book this house if you have any plans to do anything but sleep there!

The property was very clean, it had great space and provided everything that we needed. It was also a good location. We never had any noise issues either. Rebecca, the owner, was very nice and very accommodating. It was a very good experience.

Beautiful historical home in a really beautiful and convenient location. Extremely comfortable beds, lovely decor, and nice outdoor space for hanging out. Would definitely recommend any of Rebecca's properties!

We really enjoyed our stay at Palm House! Everything we wanted to do was close by, lots within walking distance or a short drive. The house was just as listed. No complaints!

This downtown house worked well for everything the 10 of us wanted for our girls trip in Charleston. Comfortable beds, good location and parking, and a very accommodating host! Rebecca checked in by text just to be sure all was ok after our first night, and she went an extra mile to mail a package that arrived late even after we had left. Great stay and everything in the post is accurate.

The house itself is great, and the pictures online reflect it well. Very spacious, clean, and pleasant. The location itself is good, it is in more of a student area since CofC and MUSC are both nearby. Because of that there are a lot of great places to eat and drink nearby, not to mention King St is walking distance just a few minutes away. It was a little disappointing with the price we paid, as our friend's car was broken into in the driveway over night. Someone crow-barred the sunroof, and used a coat hanger to unlock the driver side door. They rifled through the center console and glove box, but unfortunately nothing valuable was in the car. There is damage to the car which will need to be fixed. Given the price we paid, and the situation a concession/refund of some amount would have been appropriate, but the management team instead offered us a later checkout time. While this is out of their control, and we recognize that some leniency would have gone a long way and encouraged us to rent the same property again.

The house is light and airy, very comfortable , with a modern, clean interior. Great location for getting to bridge to Mt Pleasant where our son lives with his Family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Rebecca!🙏

Our group of seven enjoyed the convenience of this home as well as the comfy beds. There were a few quirks being an older house…but that’s just part of the downtown charm!

After missing our yearly girls' trip in 2020, Palm House was just what we needed! Spacious house with plenty of sleeping space for 7 of us as well as a great common area to end the night. House was well stocked. We loved walking to King Street to enjoy the endless restaurants and sights of Charleston!

Communication with Rebecca was outstanding. House and location is exactly as advertised. Clean, convenient, easy and stocked with all essential utensils. Highly recommend!

Thank you for a wonderful stay at your home. It was super clean, thoughtfully stocked (especially the kitchen), cozy and I loved the style! The location is perfect to walk to anywhere. The local restaurants like Pink Cactus and Xao Biscuit were amazing. The neighborhood is safe and upcoming with a lot of personality. We loved it. You won’t be disappointed here!

We had a great stay at Rebecca’s home. It was everything as described, a short walk to King Street and Rebecca was very responsive to all of my questions.

My family of 6 adults enjoyed our stay at Palm House. It is an excellent location for roaming around Charleston. There are many restaurants and small markets within walking distance. The house was everything it advertised. The beds are super comfy and the private back patio was a perfect place for morning coffee (that was provided) or great for catching up on some work on your laptop. I highly recommend the Palm House and appreciated Rebecca (the owner) for making our stay so comfortable.

The house was very clean and comfortable, however the location of home was not. The area has a lot of students renting homes. My family didn’t sleep very well due to excessive noise. We checked out of the house earlier than anticipated due to the noise.

Palm House served as home base during a 6-day family holiday gathering in Charleston. The kitchen is just as it is pictured--attractive, functional, well-lighted, and an extension of the living room. In good weather, meals can be enjoyed at an outdoor picnic table. An upstairs porch with seating was ideal for reading, chatting, and catching up on family news. We were pleased to discover that Palm House was within easy walking distance of Brown's Court Bakery, a wonderful place to pick up morning coffee and breakfast. We appreciated the provision for off-street parking, as well as the landscaping along the driveway. All that was missing were towel racks in the en-suite bathroom.
