Nothing. It needs to be gutted and the furniture burned.

The name Ocean Gem is a joke. It should be called “Sewage in the Sea”. It is probably the most depressing, dirty rental I’ve ever stayed in. It needs gutting back to the studs. The online pictures may have been accurate years ago but the blue chairs are now more a dirty grey. The couches desperately need cleaning along with the rest of the property. The blinds throughout the property are not only filthy but mainly non functional as are the ceiling fans. The fans in the bedrooms are either missing blades or are so noisy that you can’t use them if you wish to sleep. The sink in the bathroom won’t retain water and needs replacing along with all the disgusting tile around the tub. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable as the mattresses are probably as cheap as you can buy. The dead bugs in the cupboards and the disgustingly dirty stove top certainly don’t make you want to cook or eat anything at this shack. The garden area is unusable because of all the dog faeces scattered through the area. The only thing of any value in this property is the AC. That at least works. The owners should be embarrassed to charge people to stay here. I have many more photos illustrating the state of this property. Those attached are just an example of the dreadful conditions.

Location is perfect and it was nice to have beach supplies in the shed. The outdoor shower area is a great bonus!

Cute home, great location you can see the ocean from the front yard. What I loved was how they had beach toys,chairs and small surfboards for the kids to use. Only problem I had was the door did not lock automatically like I was told it would so I had to sleep both nights with the couch pushed in front of the door.I was told someone would contact me and fix it but it never happened.

It was a comfy little place! The kids loved it. They had plenty of games for the kids to play, there was a table big enough for all of us which is rare ( there's 5 of us) . Great location just a few steps away from the beach. It had all the cooking supplies I needed and dishware. A nice porch to sit on and relax when you just don't feel like doing anything. They also gave 2 pods for laundry which was awesome, until I got to the store to buy laundry detergent. But overall it was a decent place to stay for a few days, we were displaced from the flooding in Conway SC. So it served it's purpose.

I didn't like how out dated it was.Everything was very very old. The furniture was a little stained (fabric on love seats), the fan in one room only had 2 blades ( when it should of had 4) most of the pull strings on the fans were broken, the queen bed in the room alone was super hard. The comforters were ALL stained. It didn't have a dish washer .

would suggest one couch instead of two smaller love seats or a recliner type chair so if you could recline in main room and watch TV or add a small TV in main bedroom

It is located a block from the beach. It has a nice porch, patio and a private outdoor shower. Decor is nice. Cozy little place. Love that it’s pet friendly. It has everything you need 😋 Friendly staff and communication is easy

Every cabinet and drawer is dirty. A deep clean is urgently needed. Area rugs and floors are dirty. Our socks were black! Roaches are literally everywhere and very visible. We have to store everything inside fridge and microwave. Rental management resolved the issues that were reported (except the infestation) but they really tried. That will take time and a reliable pest control professional. Note: We saw Roaches of all sizes ... on top of dining carpet/ dining chairs, refrigerator exteriors, walls, doors, inside kitchen cabinets and drawers. Etc. It was NOT one or two roaches here and there. Sad to see a such a nice and cozy little place ruined; only due to preventing maintenance. I have pics , but will not post to give a chance to owners to correct problem.
