This was such a nice stay right in the middle of the old Medina! The room was so nice and the bathroom was excellent. The hosts were incredible, so kind and welcoming. Would recommend for anyone. 10/10 stay!

The place is fantastic! Comfortable rooms, localistaion, unusual, artistic atmosphere and decor, great view from the terrace. The owner did his/her best to make us feel good. I truly recommend it and if I go to Essaouira again, I will stay in Daranur again.

Loved my stay at this small riad. It is cosy, comfortable and close to a shopping street with lot of local cafes and small shops. Also the terrace is great with the view to the sea. People working there are very nice, I can’t recommend it enough.

Excellent location in the medina of Essaouira. The room was very nice, clean and the staff welcoming and friendly. The property is full of character and has a beautiful roof terrace where you can enjoy the sun and views over the city.

What a magnificent place to chill and relax, the moment I landed all the stress went away, it was smooth beautiful and refreshing experience, shoot-out to Milouda the lady in the house, she was very helpful and kind. Everything was a 11/10

The house was stylish and the room was clean and cosy. We really liked the terrace on the roof where we could enjoy the sunset. The host was very helpful with everything we needed.

The view of the rooftop terrace is absolutely spectacular! Owner is the sweetest lady and the room was beautiful! Location is also perfect! Would def recommend it!

I can't heap adequate praise on Daranur and our stay there. It was the highlight of our 7-week trip to Morocco. The location in the Medina was perfect, virtually in the center of everything that Essaouira has to offer. The streets are absolutely quiet at night since there are no cars in the Medina. Milouda and Hassan are both welcoming and helpful and we already miss them. The best part of our stay at Daranur was the roof terrace with its small, but equipped kitchen. Most of the roof terraces in Essaouira are devoted to hanging laundry but our terrace had several sitting areas, shade, a hammock and places to eat. The view from the terrace overlooks the both the Medina along with excellent views out to the rocky coastline nearby. The hotel is comprised of 4 rooms and one apartment, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Morning coffee, afternoons in the hammock, reading and evenings making dinner became our daily routine. I wish we could have spent more time at Daranur. Maybe next year! I highly recommend it to all travelers visiting Essaouira

I didn't like the fact that we had to leave!

Everything was great. Our room was so cute at the same time as being really spacious. The owner was in contact with us before we arrived, telling us how to get to Daranur from the bus station and allowing us early check-in. The place is within walking distance of everything in Essaouria. The terrace was great and had a nice view of the sea, perfect place to relax with a mint tea! Great value for money, but I potentially wouldn't recommend this place for anyone super tall! Quite low ceilings BUT I loved them because it made it feel more homely and I'm only 5 ft tall!

The beds were a little too hard but that is it! Everyone has a preference and everything else was great.

Decent size room and great location. The roof terrace had amazing sea views and where we could watch the sunset.

We have been coming to Darunur since 2015 and as far as we are concerned this is our regular place to stay when we are in Essaouaira. The location of the riad is very good and the staff is great. Our host Milouda was tremendously friendly and always available for questions. Her presence alone is worth returning to Darunur.

One of the best!!!! Nice, well-equipped place, nice and flexible hosts. Totally pleased! Our favorite place in Essaouira and we love it! We will come some day again!

I’m usually too lazy to leave reviews, but this place is so wonderful I have to. Soe, one of the co-owners, is a revitalising wave of Spanish enthusiasm and kindness. She made me feel right at home and rescued a sometimes-challenging trip in Morocco. I’m so happy I stayed here.

Soleada had made a very welcome log fire for us on our first & only cool & windy evening in Essaouira, made us feel so welcome in the magic house with endless stairs to roof terrace with stunning views of sea and very sweet kitchen with all facilities & utensils needed for cooking, coffee & spices. Enjoyed a mellow day on roof terrace, shopping at local market, cooking with Melluda, Spanish lesson with Soleada & relaxing in hammock. Lots of chat & advice e.g. where to buy colourful thread & best art spaces. Thanks to Ferran for loan of charger after managing to break ours. The outside of the house was being painted (Majorelle!) blue by everyone as we were leaving. Such a palpable happy vibey home. We had a large room with comfortable big bed, towels & spotlessly clean bathroom & basically a whole living space to ourselves during our stay. Brilliant layout as there is privacy for everyone. Thank you.

we love all really the room and view from the terrace it was great can see the beach it’s near. and you can walk to all place famous you want visit it’s not far from these riad and you can feel here like it’s your house no there’s anyone bother you it’s beautiful and we never forget amazing and nice person like milouda it she can take care of all clean room and all. thanks for she so much with her sweet words and she smiling so much when she talk with us. great and thanks

Very cozy apartment with the best location, though not so easy to find :) With access to the spacious terrace from where you can get a panoramic view on the city.
