For hot water wash-up - for example in tje morning- you will need to use the showers in the Onsen facility. There is a large sink with cold water only.

The owners are incredibly helpful. They are willing to drive you to and from the nearby train station. Free breakfast is included but because I was climbing Mount Fuji overnight and missed it they were kind enough to provide a snack to me when I returned in the early afternoon. On arrival they showed me around the building and can speak enough English that we could communicate well. I only stayed for a short time but they were the perfect hosts, and soaking in an onsen after climbing Japan's highest mountain was the perfect way to recover.

I liked the easy communication I had with the staff/owners. Both are pleasant and attentious. I wished I could have time to ask more about the region and learn ancient stories only Japanese know. I recommend that room for backpackers, couples without or with child.

There was anything I strongly disliked. We just noticed it would be nice if there was hot water in the toilet faucet.

Great property for people who need somewhere simple and straightforward to stay. Lovely people who were really helpful and provided cheap/free transportation as well!
