The size of the room.

The bathroom. The temperature of the water was extremely erratic, the wash hand basin was cracked and had been for a long time, the wc was situated in the corner of the bathroom and use was restricted, the toilet seat was also too small for the pan, there was also black mould on the walls and the extractor fan didn't work.

The food was plentiful and of good quality. Staff chatty and helpful. Room was spacious with a good view.

A little disorganised. We had 2 double rooms booked Rooms and payments were mixed up but this was resolved on returning home and contacting the hotel. Friends arrived first and did not feel welcomed by staff who seemed very young and very busy. However, once settled in staff were later friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Staff so friendly and just wanted to help. Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had.

Nothing apart from an omission from the menu. This is the first hotel we have stayed where fish wasn't on the menu.

in the late evening there was some traffic noise at the from of the hotel and noise from the kitchen fans to the rear of the hotel, but the fans were turned off when cooking had finished and the traffic noise was not great

The location was great to explore parts of the lake district. The food was fabulous, we had a main meal on 1st night and breakfast on 2 mornings, all tasted great and cooked to perfection. Room was comfortable The staff couldn't be more helpful, very friendly and would definitely go again.

It's not that we didn't like it but our room could do with a slight freshen up. Black marks above window and crack on wall near headboard. Nothing major.

our room was lovely - comfortable and clean, with plenty of space. All the staff were so welcoming and did their best to ensure we had a great stay. Our evening meal was fantastic (pasta and veggie curry - both homemade) and breakfast was delicious. All in all a superb place to stay!!

Perfect spot while visiting the lake district. Everyone was so nice and friendly and couldn't do enough for you . Our evening meal was delicious . Our room was slightly tired but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was out of this world with obviously high quality ingredients. Our host frequently returning to ask if there was anything else we needed
