For the size of our family and the wide age range it was nice, everyone had a great time

Lemon Lake is everything one expects when going to Colorado! Beautiful lake, open spaces, wildlife. The house was perfect for multiple families - lots of room, two kitchens and living areas. A bit of a drive to Durango (38 min) but no one minded because there was so much to do there - hiking, fishing, and kayaks. We enjoyed the many hummingbirds that fed on our porch. Everyone really enjoyed our vacation.

We enjoyed the many sleeping and bathroom options which suited our group of 15. The view of the lake is stunning and we enjoyed walks in the area, a bonfire with smores, and many more family memories.

The property is set on the edge of the forest, rustic, and perfect for large families, wanting to get away from their busy, electronic filled lives. We had 8 adults, an 18 year old, 14 year old, an 11 year old, and 2, 9 year olds, we enjoyed fishing at Lemon Lake on numerous occasions, caught a ton of Rainbow trout, we rode our bicycles, went for nature walks, drove up into the forest, discovered numerous deer and even spotted a black bear about a half mile away,. Our ages were from 77 years old down to 9 years old, we had a blast. We played games at night, and the front porch was perfect for early morning coffee, or evening relaxing. The house has cozy beds, 5 bathrooms, a loft where the kids, can hang out and sleep. I have nothing but wonderful memories from this trip, the house is what made it so wonderful and cozy for all of us, not cramped at all, the house is equipped with everything you will need to make meals and barbeque too. There are 2 televisions with sat, to watch, if needed. Best trip ever, we will come back to reserve this house again, Sean and Steve were so very helpful. The most beautiful view from the lodge! All the children had so much fun in the lake and we loved how close it was. The house had enough room for all 16 of us. Although some missed the wi-fi others of us were glad we didn't have it. The home could use some updating but we still had a wonderful time. A very enjoyable week! Rustic and tranquil, my family of 12 met there from all over the country. Fabulous wild life, trails to explore everywhere, fire-pit for marshmallow roasting, and a perfect place to joyfully reconnect with loved ones. Lots of room to spread out for 12+, so you can be together, and have some quite alone time too. We all loved it, and plan to do it again soon!

we so enoyed our stay at LemonLake Lodge,it is very spacious with warm welcoming owners on site. The great room has a stone fireplace with over stuffed leather chairs and sofas, you can dine with a fabulous view of the mountain range right out your window. The sleeping accommodation was very comfortable, several bedrooms were available one as a junior suite with its own television and sofa. When I vacation in the mountains and want to be comfortable, this is where I would return to. The beauty of the area and wildlife brings you close to nature with all of the comforts!

I was in awe of the beauty this lodge is surrounded by. Peaceful yet full of nature to explore and see!. John and Sue do an outstanding job at providing personalize attention to their guests, providing a very comfortable atmosphere making you feel right at home at their lodge. This was an amazing experience for me, a “city gal”, and I can see how anyone could find this as a wonderful adventure and retreat. Make sure you plan your stay for at least 3 days to take in as much of this experience as you can!

We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay at the Lemon Lake Lodge. Sue, the owner was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The lodge was great, with large comfortable chairs, a fireplace and large dining table. We had four couples who were all accomdated easily. The outdoor deck has a beautiful view of the lake, and we enjoyed sitting out there. There's a national forest right across the street for hiking. It's located very conveniently to Durango and Mesa Verde for day trips. We had a fabulous time.

My family and I stayed at Lemon Lake Lodge for the second year in a row and it was as wonderful as the last visit a year ago was..The lake was right across the road and the fish were biting..Our family enjoyed all the fishing, hiking and general relaxation needed when going on a vacation..If you are looking for some piece and quiet Lemon Lake is the place for you..we all had plenty of room and fresh air to take in..My children got a kick out of seeing the deer each night come right up to the cabin and in the morning all the wildlife around the lake. John an Sue were so nice and really make the place feel like home away from home...thanks for another wonderful stay and we hope to see you again next year..Sincerely the Gannetts..

Sorry for the late review! I would like to start by saying that pictures do not do this place justice! It is so beautiful and open, and lots of space for anybody with a large group! My family and I stayed here at Lemon Lake June 23rd for five nights. Those six days went by way too fast. The views from the patio and kitchen table on the center level are just breathtaking. It was so awesome to have everything right there. The lake was right across from the cabin and the fishing was great. Lots of areas to hike and just hang out in the shade. We even had a little campfire one night in the back. John and Sue were wonderful and made us feel at home. They were incredibly accommodating and helpful to us and our large group. The one room was so big and was perfect for all of the kiddos we had. I loved the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere with nothing but the lake and the trees. Our family had a wonderful experience and we definitely plan to come back to Lemon Lake Lodge next year at least once ! The front yard was huge and we set up our own bat-mitten net and played every day. John and Sue also offered a game room with a pool table and some other things for our enjoyment if we wanted, along with horseshoes and corn-hole. I highly recommend this cabin as it was well worth what the price is, especially if you are traveling with a large group. You will definitely have enough bathrooms and showers! This place was great. It was our second visit and we will be back again this winter. Fantastic view and accommodations with friendly owners and staff. Thanks for a great vacation!!

We spent several days in this lodge during the 4th of July vacation with two friends family. It's a great place to relax with family and friends. If you want a place with rural sightseeing, go fishing, bbq, get rid of city noisy, this is the right place. Lemon lake is right in front of the lodge, 2 mins walking distance to be at the lake for fishing, taking a walk. 20 mins driving to another bigger Vallecito Lake with boat rental. Game room is full of fun for kids, equipped with cable TV, internet. Owners are very friendly, patient and helpful. I would recommend +++++!

This is our second year for a family vacation. We loved it once again and the lake was full and kept rising every day. The guys caught a lot of fish. We are already planning next year's family vacation. Very relaxing. Great family time.

I am the advisor for a student organization focused on wellness at Fort Lewis College. This is the second year that we visited Lemon Lake Lodge for our annual retreat and we were so pleased. There is plenty of space for a larger group in the main lodge alone. We love how relaxing it is out there and got a lot of bonding and work done sitting in front of the fire. The dinner table gave us room to all sit down for meals together, which was really nice. John & Sue, the owners, were very accommodating and pleasant to work with. It's definitely not a brand name hotel type lodge and that's what we LOVE about it. It feels so good to be out in the mountains, listening to the coyotes at night, hanging out with the horses, hiking along the lake. You can be sure that we will be back next year.
