Cheerful stuff clean room perfect location

Room was a bit small

The only advantage to stay at this place is the location.

The place is run by a very unwelcoming and rude gentleman who made us feel uncomfortable during our entire stay. We were took by surprise when he would not allow us to enter the pension because we arrived earlier than the check-in time, while all what we wanted was to leave our bags at the reception. Guests don’t have access to the receptions outside of their official stay. Therefore, leaving our bags at the reception before check-in or after check-out is taken as a “massive favour” rather than a normal request. They do not offer a common bathroom, so you can’t go to the toilet or get changed before/after your stay. Every time you see him at the reception there is an occur sentiment as you are not welcome. Terrible experience.

Considering that this is a 2 star hotel, we did not have very high expectations. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The room felt quite spacious and super clean (especially the bathroom). Even though we only stayed for 3 nights, our room was cleaned every day which we really appreciated. The staff was very nice. Most importantly: the location of the hotel is perfect for exploring San Sebastián. It is right next to la concha beach and the old town is only a 10 minute walk away.

Even though the hotel exceeded our expectations, we still find that it was very expensive for what it was. We did book quite last minute and ended up paying €175 per night. This does not include any breakfast. Even though the room itself felt super fresh, the common areas downstairs had a funny smell.

The Location is fantastic and the staff seems nice. The Room was clean and everything worked.
