The property was a relaxing garden oasis. It was well supplied but a little different. I enjoyed mostly the outdoor area. It was private and very comfortable. The house was unusual but was great for photos. You had for 2-4 people plenty of space to be very comfortable.

I guess the things I did not like were mostly just from my own habits. Not that they were bad I just did not like it. The kitchen in the house had no stove or burner nor a frig. The outdoor kitchen had both but that meant rain or shine you are cooking outside. It was a little weird, that the bathroom in the master had shower and toilet but no sink. You had to go to the kitchen to wash hands or brush teeth. For me only having the river with fish running thru the house was very unique but at night coming in from the garden you had better pay attention or you are going to fall in. Neat but a little dangerous. The TV did not work properly but after sight seeing and having the outdoor garden I did not miss the TV

An amazing property. Immaculately maintained, spacious two bedroom, two kitchen villa with beautiful, private garden in a peaceful setting. The fish tank in the floor of the living room is a really eye catching feature and I enjoyed feeding the fish twice a day. The owner, Mark, has put a lot of effort and thought into the design of the house and its decoration. It is really stylish, with art pieces throughout, and very comfortable, good quality furnishings, with a choice of seating areas to hang out in - an outside gazebo (where I loved to have my pot of tea in the morning), outside breakfast bar, inside lounge with chaise long, or separate inside dining area. The bed in the ensuite master bedroom, where I slept, was very comfortable with good aircon and the ensuite has a big shower with lots of hot water. There is a (very clean) outside shower and toilet too, if you prefer, along with a washing machine and little courtyard to do your laundry. It also has good wifi (not shared with others!). If that wasn't enough - and it is - I had the warmest welcome here of anywhere I have ever stayed. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner Mark, who met me on arrival to ensure I settled in. I also met his lovely wife and friend and we had some super trips out to see some of the beautiful sights Lombok has to offer. Mark and his friend are very well qualified in the tourist business so it is worth making the effort to ask them about things.

The accommodation was very comfortable and the people working there were so kind! I loved the vibe.

We were kind of in the middle of nowhere, but we could rent scooters there.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Mark’s Garden Villa. You’re surrounded by a beautiful garden and it has a semi open living space. It was perfect for us to go hike in the morning and work in the afternoon. You will find many local warungs nearby and at sunset you can check out the many warungs at the beach to end your day with a stunning view. The villa was a short scooter ride away from a nice jungle hill hike. Would totally recommend walking through the little villages to the Batu Puje Adventure" place where you have a stunning view over the jungle hills and the ocean. If you walk even further through the jungle, you will encounter waterfalls and be absolutely alone with Nature. Mark is very fun and helpful. Will definitely come here again when coming back to Lombok!

There are lot of bugs and mosquitos (this is of course not uncommon on a tropical island). They enter the house easily because of the indoor-outdoor living experience (which is awesome by the way). But a mosquito net above the bed would be very valuable!

Great stay at Mark's villa. Mark is a very interesting, cultured, smiling person with a great philosophy of life and always ready to help you. The villa is tastefully decorated, very well maintained and you feel at home! the garden is beautiful, I highly recommend it. everything is accessible on foot or by motorbike for eating, shopping and the beach. thank you Mark see you very soon we hope 😎

We especially liked the outdoor area with the small garden and also Mark’s fish in the living room!:) The villa is nicely decorated and spacious. The owner was super helpful & it was nice listening to his stories. We can definitely recommend staying there.
