Bourges is lovely, a charming location & this property looks nice (we loved the artwork on the walls) but feels like it has been done with budget at the forefront. The room was missing key items for comfort. For example was 38 degrees when we stayed, no aircon, unable to open the window as the sun was blazing and no fan was provided in the room. We ended spending 65 euros on buying a fan just so we could bare being inside the room. Sound proofing not great, could hear the neighbours. ‘The kitchen’ is not really a kitchen, 2 ring hob, microwave, toaster, pod machine and a few utensils (which look like they are from a charity shop), it’s unpractical and usable due to lack of surface area to prepare anything. Bathroom skirting boards are rotten around the shower and the stairs need attention as some of the treads are broken and feels like your foot is going to fall through. The bed was ok but not great. Nice hotel linen and lovely towels, but a horrible blanket as opposed to the nice blanket and cushions on the bed in the photos. To sum up, it feels like student accommodation.

Needs work before I’d consider staying again.

this is not an hotel, but we got all info needed from the hosts, with a very good explanatory email. they even called us, all went very well and very easy to find. Also it's very well located.

Private, Quiet, Clean and Spacious. Newly renovated, had everything you need. No Air Conditioning which was tough during 38 Celcius heat waves, but evenings were fine with windows open. The cook top was emitting a lot of warmth from the generating enough power to cook, so avoid cooking on hot evenings otherwise you'll overheat your room! Really gorgeous unit, so much space, and loved how close to the train station it was. Walkable even with lugguage, around 20 min. We can highly recommend, far better than small hotel room with no kitchen amenities. The separate twin basins were such a luxury for my partner and I.

Remove the large rug from the room, it's too hot in the summer and overheats the space, we just rolled it up. Cleaners floors would be appreciated (a proper mop). That would make a huge difference. Small critique, there was only one large spoon left, so not enough for a pair of guests to use.

Great Situation in the center of Bourges. Nicely equipped apartment.

Interior and walls a little worn out already. I filtered the offers in Bourges by "free parking", Puits de Jouvence came out and that was my reason for booking in the first place. However, in reality there is no parking included (free public parking possible some distance away). I don't know whether this was a mistake by Puits de Jouvence or by Booking, but it should be fixed. No real service at al (codes and keybox, possiblity to phone in a slot of three hours a day). In my opinion too expensive for what it is.

Great location for the cathedral and old town and room was unique as well as being clean and tidy.

There was a constant horrible smell in the room coming from the shower. I suspect that no u bend trap was in place and the waste water was connected directly to the toilet soil pipe. The only way to freshen the air was to open the windows which meant you could hear the road noise. Also no plug for kitchen sink. For the avoidance of doubt there is NO on site free parking - a car park can be found about 5 min walk away which cost about 3 euros for the night which isn't a lot but we booked it with the understanding parking would be free at the location.

Location excellent. Very good meal in a nearby restaurant. Quiet area which allowed for a good rest after a long drive.

We were very pleased with the apartment and it worked very well for our overnight stay.

Access to the toilet in one bedroom, people sleeping in the other bedroom cannot easily use it without waking up the others.

Nothing really - a suggestion may be to have a full length mirror in the room but it wasn't a problem.
