Perfect location to enjoy a wedding weekend at the Boathouse. I didn’t spend a lot of time there but the place was clean and comfortable… and I had great communication with the owners who gave me great flexibility on my arrival and departure time.

We thought the house was clean and nice, and it made a good base from which to explore Shelter Island. The neighborhood is luxurious and residential, with nice beaches nearby. We particularly loved the local wildlife (ospreys, many wild turkeys, bunnies, deer, etc). We had a surprise problem when our rental car broke down at the house and had to be left in the driveway. We also weren't able to take our trash to the landfill as we were supposed to as a result. Ashley was very kind and understanding about it. :)

We were a group of cousins of the groom, here for a wedding. It was great to be near our parents and grandmother. We enjoyed having use of bikes.

We stayed for two nights and had a great time. The property is very nicely decorated and has all amenities you could wish for, including super fast washer and dryer as well as nice outdoor furniture to relax in the large garden.

A simple three BR but clean. Not extravagant but you are not there for a resort experience but to enjoy Shelter Island. And it’s perfect for that. Check out time is 10 am which is a touch early but you can live with it.

Everything went well and the owners were very communicative when we reached out with questions. Shelter Island in general is very woodsy so we did encounter lots of critters including rabbits and deer, as well as some unwelcome guests like deer ticks. Luckily we brought tweezers and did tick checks daily after spending time outside.

We had an amazing stay. The house was perfect for our family. Clean, quiet and relaxing. Location is great. Peaceful but close to everything. We LOVED walking to the beach around the corner to watch the sunset. We will definitely be back!

The house is the perfect setting for a beach vacation. Open and airy with comfortable furniture and beach-style decor. The kitchen was fully equipped. The outdoor space was comfortable for relaxing in a lounge chair or enjoying after-beach cocktails. We biked down to the beach to see the sunset the first night and spent the rest of the days enjoying the beach with the chairs and umbrellas provided. A great place for a family stay.

This was a great house, well stocked with everything you’d need for a good getaway. From the kitchen to the entertainment center, from bikes to beach chairs and towels. A short walk to Crab Creek beach, quick drive to Silver/Shell Beach, Crescent and other beautiful spots. On Shelter Island, accessing beaches is really easy with a beach permit you can purchase at the town hall and we always enjoy exploring! It rained all weekend and we still has plenty to do with tons of board games, a Wii, internet TV and more. The only thing we think is helpful to pass on is that with this rental, you do need to bring your garbage at the end of your stay to the town recycling center. There are special bags you need to purchase at the IGA make this easier (get one at check out when you do your initial grocery shopping!). We were not aware of this when we arrived, so we reached out to Ashley with questions, as we have never had to do this with a short rental on the island before — she was incredibly responsive and helpful, and got us the bag we needed. Wanted to pass this on for future renters to know in their planning.

We enjoyed our stay in a very quiet neighborhood. The property was everything the listing stated. We saw deer, rabbits and turkeys as we took morning and evening walks. Ashley was extremely nice and responded to any questions we had. Would recommend Ashley's house to anyone traveling to Shelter Island.

This property was just as described in the listing & the photos. The rooms were stylish, clean and well appointed and the backyard was spacious and perfect for hanging out as a group. The beds were very comfortable, there were plenty of towels/linens, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend and only wish we could've stayed longer.

We had a lovely time at the house. It was very comfortable in a quiet residential neighborhood. We had every comfort including use of 4 bikes. The backyard was spacious and had furniture for eating and relaxing outdoors; peace and quiet - just the sound of birds. Best of all, we brought our dog.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely house! Three well-sized bedrooms plus a spacious backyard. The house was very clean and the communication with the hosts was prompt!

This property was lovely! 3 bedrooms, 2 beautiful bathrooms, and a bright and open layout. We stayed in April, so we didn’t use the outdoor shower, but we liked that it was there! And there is a beach about half a mile from the house that we walked to everyday with our dog, who was welcomed at the house. We had a great stay!

We had a great weekend away here, very clean and cozy home. We particularly enjoyed spending time in front of the fireplace. We do recommend bringing your own basics for cooking/toiletries.

Wonderful location near beach and great area if you like to run or go for walks. The house was beautifully cleaned and perfectly supplied with pans, coffee pots and all one could need. Ashley was amazingly responsive and answered any questions immediately. We look forward to returning!

The house is very nice with a spacious backyard and lovely interiors. Being able to walk to the beach is a big plus. All of my communications with Ashley were speedy and very helpful.

My son got married 10/31/20 on SI. We wanted to enjoy the evening without having to be concerned about catching a ferry. This home worked out perfectly for us. We all loved the beach decor and cozy feel. If you love deer, as I do, then you'll enjoy their backyard visits in the early morning and evening - this was a bonus! Highly recommend this home. Thank you Ashley for responding so quickly to each of my emails prior to arrival.

Our host was very accessible and I thank her for all of her support. The house was wonderful. Beds were comfortable. The backyard was very peaceful. We look forward to visiting again.

This property was in a great location on the northern side of Shelter Island. Terrific for biking and walking. Ample backyard was a pleasant surprise - our family made use of it when we weren't out exploring the island. Our host was super-accessible. The house was clean and had everything you needed, including bikes. We would recommend for a family.
