Friendly owner, very clean, well decorated, and organized house, spacious and comfy. It had everything we needed and made us feel like back home. The great room is great :) 👍. My family really enjoyed the stay! Thanks a lot!

It's so comfy to stay in house than going out for sightseeing. 😀

We were greeted by the owner. He showed us around the place and told us about all of the places in the area. We were not expecting it to be so well stocked with food...a plate with scones and muffins, 2 loaves of bread (white and brown), butter, jam, peanut butter, Cheez Whiz, cooking oil, coffee and tea. There were even games there, a barbecue and much more. I can't recommend it enough!!

This charming home has all the comforts of home. Very clean! The kitchen was very well stocked. The hosts provided eggs, bread, coffee, tea and even some baking treats. The cranberry scones were delightful. Twillingate is a 10 minute drive and has good restaurants. The best was going through Crow Head and up to the lighthouse. That’s where we saw all the icebergs and pods of whales. Amazing!

Our gracious hosts Helen and Brian greeted us within a few minutes of our arrival at Greenham house just outside of Twillingate, located near some beautiful trails (eg. Top of Twillingate) and a 3-minute walk to the water. The house was SPOTLESS and had all of the amenities we could have wished for - including a refrigerator with basics (milk, bread, juice), a washer-drier, detergent and even some homemade goodies. We stayed in several places in Newfoundland and Greenham House and Aura (St. Mary's on the Avalon Peninsula) were our favourites -- by a long shot!!!

I really cannot think of anything. Family Ties more than met our expectations.

We had the pleasure of staying at both of Brian & Ellen’s Family Ties properties (a 3rd in progress). Hosts are very friendly, completely explaining facilities and offering recommendations on local activities. The homes are beautifully renovated offering a completely outfitted kitchen, multiple bathrooms for larger groups, television, wi-fi plus games to entertain the kids at night. Baked goods and coffee/tea for breakfast are homemade and incredible.
