The cottage was very comfortable. The upstairs/downstairs arrangement worked well for people "working from home." Very close to Hadley Point Beach. About a ten minute drive from downtown Bar Harbor. Very quiet neighborhood.

Cute older cottage. Kitchen and bathrooms small but clean and functioning. I chose this home due to its proximity to our other rentals. Would recommend to others.

We had a very nice stay. The place is cute and rustic. The queen bed was extremely firm to the point of uncomfortable, but if you like a very firm mattress then you will be happy. Hosts were kind and house was in a very nice location.

This rental provided everything we needed for our stay. It was clean, quiet and just big enough for our group of 6. After a long day of exploring the island, our boys (13 & 11) loved chilling out in the separate lower level, while the adults in our group loved hanging out on the deck. It was pretty perfect.

The house was perfect for us. Plenty of space so our two teenagers could game and watch movies downstairs without disturbing my husband and I (good sound proofing). They didn't hear us upstairs either. We enjoyed the big windows and skylights for light and view of the woods. The kitchen had what we needed for the modest meals we cooked. It was handy having spices and condiments, and we were glad for the coffee filters, since we didn't bring that kind (cone). We enjoyed walking to Hadley Pt beach for sunset and kayaking there. It was fun feeding the neighbor's turkeys and chickens when they roamed by at dinner time (banana peel was a big hit). The internet speed was great and we had no trouble with cable or hooking up to the TVs. There was plenty of hot water and towels. The washer and dryer were handy. We appreciated the cleaners, cleaning supplies, and tools. The location was so convenient to Bar Harbor and grocery store, Acadia NP visitor center and loop road, and to the quieter western side of MDI. We definitely would stay here again.

My group of 6 stayed at the property this week. We really enjoyed the location, amenities provided by the host, and overall set up of the house. The space was perfect for 6 adults. A lot rentals try to squeeze as many people into the property as possible but this was very much not this case for this host which is something I appreciate and enjoyed. I read many reviews saying there was a lack of towel and poor taste to the water but I can assure everyone the host took that into account and provided ample filtering as well as towels for our stay. It is nice to see hosts take in account what past guests have to say. My group of friends enjoyed how the basement was a separated but that may not be ideal for all groups so watch out for that. The only small complaint I have is that the host did not respond super speedy to my messages in VRBO we never ran into a problem but if there were to be a major problem with the house it would have taken a lot of time for them to address that. Overall my crew enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others!

My fiance and I had such a beautiful time here in Maine! Aaron was so accommodating, and the house was amazing, clean, and comfy. We are so grateful to have had this experience. We saw the town of Bar Harbor, ate delicious food, and hiked Cadillac mountain. We will definitely be booking through Aaron any time we come back to this beautiful part of Maine. We enjoyed our stay. This house is perfectly located not far from Bar Harbor or from Acadia National Park. The views from the porch of the house and the beach at the bottom of the hill are amazing. The house had everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are two bedrooms and a full bath upstairs and the lower level has a bunkbed and another full bathroom. We would return in the future.

Perfect location for the park. The house was ok not spectacular. Would be much better if you didn't have to go outside to access basement. The house was very rustic.

Perfect place for us. Was in Bar Harbor for daughter's graduation and needed a place for her and girlfriend to stay after they needed to get out of their rental, so the downstairs was perfect for them. Had everything you could need. Spent most of our time at the cottage on the back deck. Eat at C-Ray's almost across the road. Nice walk to the beach, but be ready for that hill coming back up. After the 3rd time you get used to it. We would stay there again! Thanks!!!

The cottage was close to town and Acadia National Park. It was cozy and the perfect place to relax after long days of exploring. We hope to stay here again in the future for much longer!

We loved our stay here at the cabin, it was such a beautiful house and very homey. Although after we left the property owner messaged us and said we have to pay a pet fee because they found what they believed to be dog hair “all over the house” even though we didn’t have any pets there. We told the property owner this and they were very rude and unprofessional about the situation.

Great space, perfect spot for the family and our dogs to kick of a weekend of hiking. Awesome location and nice quiet area!

Our trip started off with us being surprised at how many other properties immediately surrounded out rental. Based on the photographs and description, we had expected a more secluded spot. Because we were traveling with two dogs, having people right next-door in every direction was not ideal. It took our dogs a full day to acclimate to the noises outside, but we managed to make it work. The space itself is fine. The beds aren’t particularly comfortable. The tap water is not good for drinking. While it may be potable, it is not tasty and we strongly recommend buying bottled water for drinking and making coffee. We read a review from 2019 that complained about the old towels and lack of dishwasher soap. Oddly enough, both of those issues were part of our experience as well. For the extravagant amount of fees charged (Still can’t quite get our heads around the fees), the entire situation should have been significantly better. Upon arrival, there is a note that tells you that check-out time is 10:00 am, even though the VRBO listing says 11:00. This didn’t affect us as we left much earlier, but we thought it worth noting. They also do not mention in the listing that they expect you to bring sheets or blankets to cover their furniture if you have pets. When you arrive, their note “reminds” you of this detail. Despite the drawbacks of the house itself, the location was terrific and was close to many good places to eat and very close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. For us, this is not somewhere we would choose to stay again.

Cute cottage in a great location- so close to the ocean! Our children loved the downstairs area. The deck was amazing and we spent most of our time when we were at the place there.

We had a wonderful time. Property is very nice, plenty of towels/linens/pillows. Enjoyed sitting on the deck to read in the mornings, you can even catch glimpses of the ocean. Additional fans could be helpful on the humid days. We would definitely stay here again.

Hello, we had a lovely stay at this rental. Great location, clean and had what we needed. The only complaint was that the beds were doubles (probably said this is the description, so my bad for not reading more closely), and for two adults sleeping wasn't restful, in fact I slept on the sofa two nights so my husband could get some sleep. Also, the fitted sheets kept coming off the bed - happened to my parents who had the other bedroom. Thank you!

Everything here is exactly as pictured. Quiet dead-end road with a few other vacation homes. A few hundred yards to a beach (pictured). Owners left a bundle of wood for a fire on the beach, which we did on our last night. There are separate entries for upstairs and downstairs, but we were traveling with some teens so it was perfect for us. Drive times were 5 minutes or less to some great restaurants/ice cream, 10 minutes to Acadia Park Loop and 15 minutes to Bar Harbor. Smart TV's upstairs and downstairs + great internet if you are feeling lazy. Really a fantastic spot for a trip to Mt. Desert Island/Acadia...don't think we could have gotten a better value.

Great place for us to stay with our dog, but near Acadia. We could easily access the trails and towns, but have our home base to relax after a day of hiking. Quiet neighborhood and even had smart TVs we could use in the evenings-just like we would at home!
