No nos dio tiempo a desayunar en el comedor del hotel y antes de irnos en el bar del hotel la camarera/recepcionista nos hizo un desayuno improvisado genial.

Al momento della prenotazione, nel box delle richieste, abbiamo specificatamente chiesto una stanza silenziosa, lontana da qualsiasi tipo di rumore. Abbiamo scelto questo hotel pensando che fosse più silenzioso rispetto al centro di Bilbao, ma ci siamo assolutamente sbagliati; il baccano non veniva dalla strada ma dalla sala esattamente in corrispondenza della nostra stanza, al piano inferiore (piano terra). Alle 22.53 sono sceso in reception per chiedere spiegazioni e la ragazza mi ha spiegato che purtroppo non poteva farci nulla visto che era un qualcosa di organizzato da tempo ma che mi dava la sua parola che al massimo alle 23.30 sarebbe tutto finito, questione di regole. Nonostante la stanchezza della giornata ho voluto avere pazienza, che si è esaurita alle 00.06 quando la festa di sotto stava continuando nonostante le rassicurazioni della receptionist. Riscendo e un altro cliente si stava lamentando, purtroppo con un altro receptionist. Dopodiché quest'ultimo, nonostante inizialmente reticente, entra nella sala e stoppa la festa. Ora, non me la prendo con i ragazzi che, come detto dalla receptionist, da tempo avevano organizzato la serata, trovo però inconcepibile l'atteggiamento della receptionist e più generale dell'hotel in quanto avrebbero dovuto avvertirmi che la mia richiesta di una stanza silenziosa non poteva essere accettata in quanto mi avrebbero assegnato una stanza proprio sopra un party scatenato. Nessuna scusa da parte dello staff, nessun gesto per potersi "far perdonare", solo una promessa non mantenuta e totale indifferenza alle richieste specifiche di una coppia di clienti che dopo una giornata lunga e stancante, ha potuto prendere sonno in un orario molto diverso da quello previsto, con conseguente giornata successiva di lavoro completamente rovinata dalla stanchezza e mal di testa.

Location and parking situation

The staff were very pleasant and helpful particularly Alberta, helping us with taxis and the like. Car parking was at the rear of the hotel and free. We booked here as we had to drop a hire car off at Bilbao airport the following morning. Compared to other airport hotels it was relatively cheap (€145) for 3 people.

The rooms are a little 'tired' particularly the bathroom. The shower head had been badly positioned over the bath and shot water beyond the screen onto the bathroom floor. This was evident by the swollen door frame and flooring such that the door wouldn't shut. The only way round it was to take the showerhead off the holder and turn round, washing one-handed. The air con really struggled with the 36 deg heat, virtually non-existent. On a Monday night no where is open to eat which entailed a trip into Bilbao by taxi.

Nothing, we left and booked another hotel.

There was a dreadful smell of air freshner that made us cough. The carpets and furniture were old and out dated. Carpark is acessed by driving on the path, very little space in it and not secure. Rooms were old and dreary.

The staff were nice

They sent me two emails telling me that they may cancel the reservation if the card on Booking doesn't work. Not the best way to start the conversation. The room wasn't ready on time for us to to check in. I hope they have enough cleaning staff.
