Super Lage um einen Ausflug zum Vulkan Poas zu starten! Das Häuschen war zweckmäßig eingerichtet, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit und stand für alle Fragen zur Verfügung. Als Frühstück war alla Card und schmeckte hervorragend. Jederzeit gerne wieder und uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Im Restaurant waren wir nicht beim Essen. Das geht in der Umgebung deutlich günstiger.

Il fait froid dans les chambres

Loved the hiking trails. Junior suite bed and sheets are great. The restaurant was one of the best so far. Try the trout with capers! Easy access to property and convenient.

I had trouble working the hot water in the shower. I did finally get it but it’s touchy.

Le restaurant à côté qui est très bon. Le charme des petits chalets avec la cheminée. Très bien équipée. La gentillesse du personnel.

We stayed in one of the little cabins and loved it! They are easily big enough for two people. The whole place is lovely, the staff is very helpful and the restaurant very good. Be aware that Villa Calas is at an altitude of about 2000m - yes, it can get cooler than expected especially when fog and rain come in. Still, I didn’t find it as cold as some other reviews mentioned inside the cabin.

Villa Calas is close to the street, so you can hear cars and trucks going by. But nothing my earplugs couldn’t handle. If you want to be sure, ask for a cabin further away from the street.

Excelente. La complicidad del personal para celebrar el cumpleaños de mi esposo fue un factor muy valioso. La comida muy deliciosa, el servicio, la actitud de servicio al cliente fue maravillosa. Recomiendo el lugar, realmente se siente paz, conexión con la naturaleza y lo mejor de Costa Rica

La ubicación y el personal estuvieron muy bien. Clima excelente, puedes caminar en la propiedad y ver todo tipo de animales. Parqueo y acceso adecuado para cualquier vehículo.

El menú de comida fuerte es muy simple y un poquito caro para la variedad.

La literie etait un peu dure

Sehr sauber und komfortabel. Bis 10:00 pm Uhr ist leider von der Straße mit etwas Lärm zu rechnen.

Emplacement, vue imprenable sur les alentours, chalets très coquet, personnel gentil, serviable et professionnel, très bon restaurant. Bref je le recommande chaudement.

La cheminée des foyers n’est pas assez haute donc difficile de faire un feu pour se réchauffer, la fumée entre dans le chalet. Heureusement il y a du chauffage d’appoint.

Noise from the road

We stayed here two nights, and we loved it! The cottages are as cute as in the pictures, and very clean. It was a bit cold when we were there, so we had the chance of lighting a fire in the fireplace of the room (wood and stuffs to light a fire is provided in the room), which made the evenings extra special. The staff is very welcoming, and the restaurant very good. All in all, a delightful stay!

Lovely and peaceful place. Amazing views. The weather was perfect, all the staff were so kind during our stay and the food was spectacular. I definitely recommend it. Very accesible from San José city.

We were having some issues with the internet and the TV, kind of unstable during the night. Could be because was very windy. No a big deal.

Se nos hizo corta la estancia. La cabaña o casa donde nos alojamos era maravillosa. Lo tenía todo para relajarse y tener una estancia muy agradable y tranquila. Muy cercano del Volcán Poas. Nos encantó.

Die Unterkunft liegt auf dem Weg zum Vulkan Poas. Wir waren in einem zweistöckigen Häuschen, das sehr gemütlich eingerichtet war. Vom Bett aus mit Blick auf den Garten konnte man den Sonnenuntergang beobachten. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet! Die Unterkunft ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Great location near so many natural wonders of the area and an awesome little quiet villa with a great restaurant and friendly staff. Nice walking trails staring at the villa too.

Amazing location, delicious food at restaurant in premises, friendly and knowledgeable staff, beautiful views and surroundings. Wish we had more time!

We very much enjoyed our 4 night stay at Villa Calas. The entire property is close to everything we planned to do in the region, but very private and quiet to feel like we were away from everything. The cabins are rustic and offer all of the amenities we needed to explore all day and be cozy every night. The tin roofs meant we were usually put to sleep by the sound of rain. 😊 The restaurant offered wonderful meals and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our family of 4 was in 2 separate cabins/bungalows, but we were right next to each other so that we could easily move between them. One was larger so that we had a living space to share and be in together. The hummingbird feeders were lovely! It was a special touch and we loved the humming about as we came and went from our cabins! We certainly recommend Villa Calas for your adventure and will return ourselves some day!

We honestly liked everything! Maybe more options to fit all 4 of us in a bungalow together, but the kids also liked that we had "2 houses"!

Nice and clean cabin. Hot water in the shower. Beautiful location and view. Very nice staff. Delicious breakfast. Nice fireplace to enjoy in the evenings. I loved it!

The bed was not very comfortable.

The location is very close to the Poas Volcano and the grounds are beautiful! The Villa was prefect for our family of four. Staff was very friendly, food was great. Definitely plan on staying here again!

No complaints, it is a great property!
