Fernando is the most welcoming and thoughtful host. He is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the history of the house and the city, and has excellent recommendations for restaurants and sights. The house is very special: elegant, comfortable and in a great location. The city is a few minutes walk away. A real privilege to stay in such a lovely place. Very highly recommended!

The location was excellent - within fairly easy walking distance of the old town. Our host met us and was very helpful when our luggage was lost in transit. He was very friendly and supportive - nothing was too much trouble.

The beds were a bit short - I could not lie straight. There was a bit of noise in the neighbourhood (late night party, live music nearby, cars on cobbles, cats caterwauling) so earplugs would have been beneficial!

A beautiful old residence on the edge of the old quarter of Porto. Utterly unique as it has not been restored but beautifully maintained by the same family for over a century.

Fernando was a superhost! The house was very charming with lots of history. It was very clean. The neighbourhood was very calm.

Fernando was a great host. He gave us a tour and was happy to share the history of his family house as well as suggestions for things to do in Porto. The house was built by his grandfather in the early 1900's and in addition to having a lot of character is a comfortable place to stay. It is a nice walk to the center of town. Fernando made it feel like it was are home during the stay.

The stay was as close to perfect as possible. When we were checking out Fernando confirmed that we had a great stay and asked if there were any problems.

Fernando was a great host. He was obviously very proud of his family's home and shared a bit of the history of the house with us. The house was beautiful, the neighborhood was quiet yet close to all the interesting things. The mattresses on the beds were so nice. We would definitely stay there again.

The upstairs bathroom doesn't have a ton of light, and isn't the best for those over 170cm tall die to the slopping ceiling.

The history and preservation of the house, we felt like we were a part of the history. The host/owner was phenomenal, always available and gave great recommendations.

The propriety is an old house very well kept, clean and big equipped with everything you need for a long stay. The position was perfect for us, not being in the old centre but close to it, in a quiet aria, having around good places to eat. The owner was very friendly and nice giving us a lot of useful information. The communication before arriving was easy and fast, simple check-in and check-out.

It feels….. looks like old castle. Fenando is the best host I ever met. always answer in a second whatever I asked. He is very proud of his house that his grand grand father built. this is the first time we do house tour by owner.

Great house with history and good location, the host was really kind, provided toys for the kid and gave us details on the house tips for Porto and restaurants and even a souvenir at check out!! Easy communication, highly recommended!

This is house with character extremely well located on a very quite street. Fernando is the most attentive, helpful host you could hope for. Excellent spot to visit Porto.

A very firm mattress

When finding a rental house, the location is always at the top of the criteria list. But when you find a house that is both ideally situated and breathtakingly beautiful, you know you lucked out. This perfectly maintained early 20th century gem makes you hurry home after walking the streets of the magical Porto. To begin the experience, the generosity of the host Fernando in giving you a history course on the house as well as showing you all the important places on the city map will have you in total elation before you even started your adventure in Porto. While walking in the house, we could not contain our constant admiration for the beauty of the place. I not only fully recommended it but after only 5 days since leaving, I miss the house dearly. That is how amazing this rental property is.

Fernando is a perfect guest, very dedicated to make your trip perfect. He organized a shuttle bus to and from the airport which was very convenient for our group. The house is very near all points of interests in Porto.

There should definitely be an additional bathroom, whereas one is not enough for up to 6 people (ground floor is only a toilet and sink)
