Worked great for our family vacation. Plenty of privacy and entertaining space. Just wish the kitchen sink had a water filter, as we had to keep buying water. Otherwise, this was a well maintained and very nicely appointed & decorated home. Great location near beach access and sunsets on the marsh.

Only complaint we had was the pool. Needs new liner and jets were not working to circulate water Dirty and cloudy.

My family and I rented this house to celebrate the successful completion of my treatment for breast cancer, not to mention surviving the pandemic. Growing up, St. Simons was my favorite island to visit, and I was excited to share this special place with my infant son. For these reasons, we spent more than we normally would for a week-long stay at the beach. We were disappointed to find that this house has quite a bit of wear and tear. As soon as we walked in, we noticed the house wasn’t entirely clean. The mirror in the entryway had spit or water on the glass. There was visible soap scum on the tile in the master bathroom, and some orange substance on the ceiling. In the other downstairs bath, it looks as though someone tried to paint the tub rather than reglaze it properly, so the finish looks dingy and is flaking. Additionally, the shower doors in this bathroom are broken; they swing out from the bottom, where they’ve come off the track. When someone from the realty company’s maintenance department came out to look at this issue, he tried to convince us this is how the doors are made. It’s not. The gas stove worked inconsistently. The dishwasher needs to be updated. And there was a broken/missing glass shade from one of the pendant lights in the kitchen. When I mentioned this to the maintenance man, he said he knew exactly where it was in the shop. Why hadn’t it been returned to and installed in the house? Two final notes: the pool liner needs to be replaced; it’s receding in several spots. And on our next-to-last day, the cable went out on the TV because the account balance was several months past due. My family enjoyed our time together, but this house wasn’t the gift we intended to give ourselves this summer. I think fault lies with the property managers as much if not more so than the owners.

good location with easy access to beach. quiet and residential and just the right place to decompress. Had 6 teens and 5 adults. lots of space to spread out. a few minor items had to be addressed but management was responsive. overall we enjoyed our stay

This house is adorable and you cannot bear the view of the marsh and the walk to beach! The only issue I had was during check in. I called the day before to see if we could get into the house early and the person I spoke with said the house was ready so we could have an early noon check in. However, when I got to the office to pick up keys the woman said the house wasn’t ready and check in wasn’t until 4pm. I had my dog with me and we’d had a long 6 hour drive so I wasn’t thrilled at the thought of having to wait 4 hours to get into the house, but thankfully they were able to get me in around 1pm. Other than that the place is amazing. Will definitely be back.

We spent Thanksgiving in the house; the space fit our family needs very well. The cooks in the family commented on how well appointed the kitchen is for a rental. Quiet and peaceful location made for a very restful holiday

The house floors on the first floor were not level and the step down into the family room was a little bit of a problem for young children. The pool cleaner needed repaired and the pool service company took it for repairs on the 2nd day and never returned it. We had to hand clean it the best we could each day. Overall, the House was adequate for a one week stay.

This house was great for all 7 of our family that gathered from around the U.S. Being only a block off the beach was the best part.

Great spot; on edge of marsh with its panoramic view of wildlife and in quiet neighborhood within easy bicycle ride to downtown. Within walking distance to beach. Pool was a big hit with the grand-kids...maybe bigger than the beach itself!

We spent fall break at this cottage. The arrangement worked out well for us, but it works not work for 11. The house was well equipped in all ways. There was plenty of pots and pans and dishes, games, puzzles, towels, and seating. The back of the house was very well done with a lot of decking around the pool, plenty of seating, a table with umbrella and chairs. We especially enjoyed the large lantana covered with butterflies every day. The house did not quite live up to the pictures, which were well staged, but they do show how each room is furnished. The bathrooms are large and have been updated. There are several step downs that could use marking for safety. The house sits on the marsh for a beautiful view and there are sliding glass doors to open the house up to the back. It would be good for the cleaning crew to keep them clean. Overall I would definitely recommend this cottage for its location, good room for kids to have a place to go, and the pool area. We all had a great time while we were there.

Nice home with nice neighbors. We enjoyed staying in this home and would rent it again. Private pool made for relaxing days. A few minor suggestions that would make it a Great home would be: 1). Have housekeeping leave the lid to the washing machine open when not in use so it doesn't have the awful smell. We ran it the first time empty of clothes with just bleach to get rid of the smell. Another home we rented numerous times in Myrtle Beach had that same style washer and the home owner requested the lid be left open when not in use so moisture can evaporate and not become stagnant. 2). Replace the sheets in the downstairs bedroom at the front of the house. The top sheet had holes at the foot section that my sister kept getting her feet caught in. 3). Put a dark colored rug at the step down section of the downstairs bedroom at the back of the house. My 73 year old husband fell the first afternoon because he couldn't distinguish that there was a step down into the bedroom. I moved the gray rug from the kitchen to step down on so it would be enough of a contrast from the light floors. Once I did that he did not have a problem. Other than those few minor issues that are quick fixes we would definitely rent this home again. Thank you for renting your lovely home to us.

The property is a fabulous location but was older than appeared in the photos. We had a large group and there were lots of beds for the kids upstairs. Pool was nice and house had little extras that were nice. We did have construction workers hammering every morning at 7:30 but that's not the house's fault. Nonetheless, still unpleasant. :( Overall, great location with a short walk to the beach, a short bike ride to many places on the island . Definitely eat at Southern Soul BBQ and look for the tree spirits on the island. :)

We had a wonderful, relaxing week sharing this home with another family; 4 adults and 6 children six-and-under, but we had plenty of space. We especially enjoyed playing with the kids in the swimming pool every morning. Is just a short walk or bike ride to the beach. We enjoyed a fishing expedition from Hampton River Marina at the north end of St. Simons and the turtle center on Jekyll Island. And we'll always remember, when the kids were in bed, sitting on the front porch and enjoying the sunset over the marsh. We thoroughly enjoyed this home and highly recommend it.

First, the good news. The kitchen is very well-equipped, and there is plenty of space for people to "spread out". We had 7 adults and two boys 7 and 8 years old. With the front porch for early morning coffee or watching the sunset over the marsh, the pool area with umbrella and chairs, and the family room, it was great and we never felt crowded. Two of the bedrooms are very spacious with comfortable beds, and the bunk room was well done. Now the BAD NEWS. THE ROOM WITH THE DOUBLE BED SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED A 4TH BEDROOM. THE BED IS TOO SMALL, AND THERE IS INADEQUATE HANGING SPACE FOR CLOTHES WITHOUT A TRUE DRESSER. THIS IS REALLY A THREE BEDROOM HOUSE UNLESS A VERY SMALL, SINGLE PERSON SLEEPS IN THIS BED. And, there were a number of loose faucets and dirty pots and pans that should have been taken care of by the management team before we moved in. Once we notified them, they took care of the issues, but the housekeeping crew needs to check things out more thoroughly. If they upgrade the double bedroom and are more careful of the 'basics', we'd definitely stay again....and it'd be a 5 Star stay!

What a house! We had a group of 7 girls stay here for a long weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better place to be! We loved waking up each morning and having breakfast and coffee on the front porch, overlooking the beautiful marsh. Coolest birds EVER here! The proximity to the beach was a breeze and we had so much fun biking to lunch and shopping. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds super comfy, the pool (and pool deck) perfect, the rooms spacious and, frankly, the whole place was really well decorated. No depressing 1980s beach theme here! It's interesting, while this place was super cool for our girls' weekend, I really look forward to bringing my family here! Can't wait to come back!

We absolutely loved this home and hated when it was time to leave! The open, light and airy floor plan with ample space for our family was appointed with lovely beach décor throughout. We loved the sparkling swimming pool that invited us to relax and cool off after long days at the beach nearby. The home was tasteful and had a very casual beach cottage feel and the marsh view was gorgeous and enjoyed immensely while rocking in rocking chairs on the front porch. We will be back for sure!

My family enjoyed the large well equipped kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, awesome pool, and quick walk to the beach. All of the rooms were spacious and beds were very comfy!
