The apartment has everything you could possibly need and is full of maps, books, pamphlets, etc to get you acquainted with Bratislava and Slovakia. Umbrellas, a large floor fan, a great pantry with wine, beer and other items available for purchase are examples of the thought put into the apt. Jozef’s father met us at check in and was most helpful. Location is very close to the old town and walkable.

Apartment Blue is without any question one of the best HomeAway experiences ever. The owner, Jozef and his family gave us a warm welcome and were very attentive to our needs. The apartment is superbly equipped and very centrally located in a quiet street. I honestly have no idea what they could do improve the experience, near perfection.

This is one of the best properties I've rented through VRBO. There was plenty of space for me and my two teenagers. The apartment was spotless and had all the amenities. Jozef was so hospitable and helpful every step of the way. I highly recommend it!

I rented the apartment based on previous reviews. I was not disappointed. In fact the apartment and Josef exceeded my expectations. Josef is the ideal Landlord. He met me upon arrival and saw me off in a taxi upon departure. In between he ensured that I was aware/informed about all pertaining to the apartment and the locality. The apartment is very spacious, very clean and well decorated. It has all that you'd need. Plus it is located in the 'old' historical part of town, so shops, and restaurants are within walking distance. If I have the pleasure of visiting Bratislava again I would like to stay in the same apartment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable & well-equipped apartment near the old town section of Bratislava. Everything was clean & well-considered for guests' convenience & comfort. We travel 6 months a year & stay at a lot of different places, and this host was one of the best we've worked with. He was extremely responsive with communication prior to arrival & throughout our stay. He has added many special touches: a broad selection of DVDs, meticulous instructions for using appliances & equipment, a comprehensive guest services & tourist information guide, to name a few. Bed & linens were excellent, the kitchen fully equipped & also stocked with extras like a spice rack, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, etc. Location was also great - about a 15 minutes' walk from the Danube & old town, less than that from a shopping mall & supermarkets. The neighborhood is quiet but also convenient to lots of great restaurants of just about any preferred cuisine. Wifi & all other technology (TV, DVD player, etc.) were all reliable. Having a washing machine available is always helpful, but this apartment had a dryer, too - unusual in Europe. We can give this flat & host our highest ratings.

We have stayed in many apartments while traveling and both my wife and I would have to rate this apartment hosted by Jozef as the best. It had everything you would need or want for a comfortable stay. A fully equipped kitchen, a large lounge area, a big bedroom and a great shower. We didn’t want to leave! Plenty of towels, up to date appliances and only a short walk to the supermarkets, old town and transport made this an ideal place to stay. It was so quite and dark with the shutters down we had the best sleep of our holiday so far. Jozef was very helpful with everything and was a delight to meet. Rent this apartment you will not be disappointed. Modern appliances, air conditioning, kitchen was stocked, apartment was spotless and videos that explain how to work everything. Jozef was an awesome host. Attentive to any questions and he really added to our enjoyment of this apartment and Bratislava. Jozef made arrangements for us to get to the train station and it was one less thing we had to worry about. My wife and I travelled with our adult son and his fiance and we all agreed that this apartment was the best of the four VRBO sites we rented on this trip. I highly recommend Jozef's apartment and I would definitely stay here again on a future trip.

We found the apartment well-located for sightseeing in the Old Town and going to good restaurants. We especially appreciated the host's responsiveness and attention to detail. The notebook for guests was the most comprehensive we have encountered, containing all the information one needs for enjoying the spacious apartment and the city.

Not much to add to all of the other 5 star reviews. Excellent pre arrival communication. We were met at the apartment by Jozef who went over important details with us and left us with a helpful binder of information. Also, we liked that he had water available for purchase. This was our first VRBO experience and will most likely become that by which all other stays are judged. Bottom line, Jozef owns the place and occasionally stays there. He genuinely cares about the property, much more than corporate owned properties. Lastly, the location is ideal, on the border of the old town area. We would definitely Stay again, Thanks Jozef! BC

Our second stay at Apartment Blue and, again, the location, cleanliness, amenities, and hospitality of the host, Jozef, surpassed our experiences with other rentals. The binder located in the apartment contains information you might need for the apartment, plus sightseeing, personal restaurant recommendations and more. We will be back again.

We had an amazing 4-day stay in this apartment in Bratislava. Jozef kept in constant communication with us before and during our stay. He sent us all the information we needed to plan our trip by email. There was also a full folder with information about the city and the apartment. He included manuals for every device. The apartment was nice, big, clean and everything was fully functioning. The location is perfect, you can reach everything by a short foot walk. Bratislava is the perfect city for a nice weekend city trip. The food was absolutely amazing, our favourite restaurant was Zelený Rodrigéz but there were many more very good restaurants. We went to almost all the normal sightseeing places and enjoyed our trip a lot. If we come back to Bratislava, we are definitely going to stay here again :)

A lovely apartment, ideally situated for exploring Bratislava. The apartment is just minutes from the Old Town, meaning you can easily experience the atmosphere of the Old Town, but you get a quiet night’s sleep! Bratislava is easily explored on foot, but if you want to travel further afield (or are traveling from Bratislava airport), the apartment is close to multiple public transport stops. We couldn’t fault the apartment. It was comfortable, clean, spacious and had everything you could possibly need, and more. Our host (Jozef) was excellent throughout. All enquiries were promptly answered, and we were provided with useful pre-arrival information that really showed that Jozef wanted to ensure that his guests had a great time staying in his apartment. If you have questions about places you’d like to visit, or activities you'd like to undertake, then run them by Jozef; we found him to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

We stayed 3 nights in Jozef's Apartment Blue. We frequently use Homeaway and other sites for personal housing rentals, and Apartment Blue is BY FAR the most outstanding. Jozef kept in contact with us from the time we booked until the time we left. The apartment was very clean and included any item which you might need: two televisions including many English stations, a collection of DVD's, telephone, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer. There is a cabinet stocked with water, beer, etc. which you can use and purchase with your stay. The beds were very comfortable. It was very quiet there, even though you are only a very short walk to the old town. All windows face the courtyard. Jozef has a binder including any information you might need for your trip, including maps, information in appliances, information on all of the sights, detailed information on various restaurant recommendations, and also a vocabulary translation of words geared toward tourists. The location was perfectly convenient to walk to all of the sites, including the Bratislava Castle. Jozef should be in the tourism industry, as he was by far the most accommodating host we have ever encountered. He also assisted us in trying to find our possible distant relatives from the area. If you are visiting Bratislava, Apartment Blue is definitely the place to stay. And you will be lucky to have Jozef as your proprietor!

First, our host. Jozef went to an extensive length to meet all our needs including meeting us at the train station. He has a full folder of information on sights, restaurants, shopping, various services, and transportation. He included manuals for all the appliances, coffee makers, phone service, TV, and DVD player. Jozef kept in constant communication with us as soon as we decided to rent his apartment. He answered all of our questions immediately and thoroughly. He checked in by email each day and provided us with any new information we needed during our stay. Secondly his apartment. It is very easy access to the old town, very safe, and extremely quiet. He has a library of DVDs in English, including titles that appeal to children. The cable service is of added benefit, as is the computer. We very much appreciated the opportunity to use his phone service to call our families in the states. Everything is clearly labeled on the washer and dryer so they are easy to operate. The kitchen is fully equipped so eating in is an option. Jozef has a supply of wine, beer, spirits, and snacks for you to purchase, plus a free beer cooling in the refrigerator. We have stayed in many places over our 5 week tip in Europe and Jozef's rental ranks with the very best. Do yourself a favor. Visit Bratislava and by all means, stay at Jozef's apartment. You won't be sorry.
