We had a wonderful stay at the Babbling Brook. Not too far up the mountain, but had a beautiful view! We enjoyed our stay and the cabin was very spacious! We would have loved an outdoor dining table, but other that that there was everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials!

Loved the wood burning fireplace, but the insert is rather small for such a huge fireplace and 1/2 the wood we paid extra for was wet (which made it hard to burn) so we weren't able to use it all. We came in hopes for snow and it did snow about 3-5"! Our plans were stay in, but the driveway was plowed and salted the morning after the snow if we did need to get out. The garage was nice touch for rental-didn't have to clean snow off vehicle. We would definitely stay here again. Suggestions: new pans and more comfortable living room furniture (the furniture in the loft was very comfortable though).

If there is anything I would criticize it would be that they have an extensive list of check out requirements (collect trash, collect laundry, collect food..) and check out time is early so we had to rush to make it out of the house while the cleaning crew was waiting outside. We pay a cleaning fee so we don’t have to do all that. Otherwise We would definitely go back ! Thank you!

Planned on staying up in the mountains for the long weekend to have a getaway and watch some college football. The site listed this house had Direct TV, so I made the assumption that it had espn and other sports channels! Well I was wrong! The owner didn’t have one sports channel as part of the package, not even just espn, so I had to watch football on my cellphone! They should list on the site that they don’t have sports packages! I would not have rented the house had I known that! For $228 a night, you would think the owner could afford a sports package. The property managers were great however and personally called the owner to see if they would add it but he refused! So beware... if you love watching sports, this house may not be for you!
