The location of this house is fantastic. Fairly minor problems including questionable items on one bed and very stinky slow drains in one bathroom. The host was responsive and apologetic, which is appreciated. We generally had a very nice stay and the house is as advertised.The kids loved the pool. We had 10 people stay and it was surprisingly spacious and comfortable.

I stayed at Pelican Cottage this past February. This is my third time renting it and it won't be my last. The house is well stocked with everything you'll need and the location can't be beat (leave the car parked and walk to St. Armand's and the beach). All that being said the best part of renting Pelican Cottage are the owners Deb and Ed. They are terrific people! I'm counting down the day until my return.

Wonderful, clean home close to the beach and shops. Plenty of space to spread out.

The location is amazing. You can walk to the circle and to the beacg. The house is equipped with a great wagon and toys for the kids. We had a colder week but the pool was super warm so the kids swam everyday. There is lots of space for everyone. Virtually no negatives about this house.

We were thoroughly satisfied with our recent stay at Pelican cottage Decemer 28- January 4. Lovely cottage, pool and access to the beach and St. Armands shoppes and eateries. The home had all the needed equipment for the beach and pool and was very comfortable. The host was so easy to contact and provided us with information about activities and local delivery methods for food and such. Highly recommend this property and we hope to return!

I appreciate Deb and her Pelican property, it think we have been there for Christmas three of the last 4 years and have a reservation for next year. The VRBO web site not so much.

The hosts of Pelican Cottage have taken extra efforts to make sure you are comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen, lots of pool toys, beach accessories and a wagon to make the trek to the beach super easy. Comfy beds, games, beach towels, and lots of information about area made it so easy for us to relax and enjoy our vacation! Thank you!!

We absolutely love the Pelican Cottage. This was our second time staying here. The location is perfect, couldn’t be any better. Short walk to the beach and to St Armand’s circle. The house itself is clean, many very comfortable beds to sleep in. Pool area is perfect with a large table to enjoy lunch or dinner outside. Communication with owners was easy, We will be back! Thanks for a great stay.

Loved the short walk to the beach and St Armand’s circle. Everything was in close walking distance. The house was very nice. Lots of bedrooms and all the amenities needed. Deb was so nice to work with quick to help and answer any questions we had.

Loved the short walk to the beach - it is far enough from the public access point that it was not crowded at all. Kids had a blast diving for sand dollars. Easy walk to the circle with so many nice shops and restaurants - very pedestrian friendly. The arcade was a hit with the kids (and adults). The property was very well maintained. Extremely organized, with everything labeled, making things easy to find (and put away). Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The owners have a very detailed binder with things to do, check in/check out info. Lovely place that I highly recommend.

Husband passed away last November. His birthday would have been the 20th, our daughter turned 49 on the 22nd. They always celebrated their birthdays together so i rented your beautiful home for the week as a gift to her. Two of her girlfriends, one has a 9 month old and the other a 2 month old, surprised her by coming Monday evening so they could help her celebrate her birthday on Tuesday. Then me and my daughter enjoyed thecrest ofvthe stay with trips to the beach, enjoying the pool and shopping at St. Armands Circle shops. The weather was great and we only had a few afternoon rain showers. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Pelican Cottage is perfect for our family. Close to the beach and close to St Armands Circle. The cottage is roomy and the pool is so nice to have..

The “cottage” exceeded our expectations! We were truly surprised at just how large it was when we entered. It was a perfect size for our family of 5 (although it can easily accommodate up to 10 people). The onsite inground pool is an added bonus. It was great for evening swims. We loved it so much that we booked for July 2024 before we even left!! We’re looking forward to another week at Pelican Cottage!

We have stayed at this property twice now, and have had an absolutely fantastic time both times! This property is easily walkable to Saint Armands Circle, a short distance to the beach (walkable over sand), and is a great place for a family to stay! The pool is always immaculate and the hosts, Deb and Ed, are wonderful! Highly recommend!

First of all, our overall stay was very nice. Lido Beach is our favorite beach in Florida. 1)The 100 feet to the beach path was accurate. However, they fail to tell you it's another half mile walk down the path to the actual beach. Not one minute as advertised. Three young children and elderly family members had a very hard time with the long-distance walk. (no other way to get there) 2) No soap in the bathrooms to wash your hands. 3) Garage and pool area were rundown and filthy. Also, the included beach toys, chairs, umbrellas etc. were rusty worn out, broken and dirty. Included bikes were nowhere in sight. And the wagon for beach transport is rusty and gross. 4) Checked in on Saturday and the pool was finally cleaned on Thursday. Lots of sand and debris at the bottom. 100% feel as though this property is in a slow decline. I'm sure when they bought it in 2019 it was nice. The owners have completely let things go. At this price I think there might be better options.

I have been renting vacation homes since 1990. I will say this was the cleanest rentals I have ever had. The lay out was just great for six of us. We were a household of musicians and were able to sit in the outdoor space and play acoustically a little everyday. It was very private. The pool was perfect as that is a "must" for all our rentals. I placed a call in to Deb concerning the inability to get the main room TV to work. A TV in one of the bedrooms could not get anything other than one channel. (We did have someone in our group who was quite knowledgeable in this technology,) but unfortunately we could not get the TVs to work properly.) Deb worked to resolve. The path to the beach was very close, however the walk to the water was a little longer than what a bunch of 60 something people expected, This fact though would not have changed our decision to stay there. The beach was just gorgeous. The icemaker didn't work and it would have been nice to have at least some ice cube trays. We spent about $60.00 on ice for the week. Lastly, we needed a big pasta pot which there was not one. I bought one and left it for the next family. Please know these few things would never have changed our minds on this rental. We are grown adults just happy and content to be away and be together. The house was beautifully decorated, clean, private, and in a very nice, quiet area. Nothing is ever quite perfect. This place was close to it though.

The house was clean and ready for us. The AC worked very well indeed. The location and access to the beach was such a plus. The pool and area around the pool was perfect for our needs with all supplies to keep up comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and we were never disturbed by anything. Thank you for this wonderful place.

This was a great place for our family to stay while on spring break. Lots of room for all of us with all the bedrooms and bathrooms. So close to St Armand’s Circle to walk for evening ice cream treats plus a nice stroll to the beach. And everything we needed was provided. The beds were very comfortable. Better than what I have at home! The backyard pool is great for all day swimming if that’s what you’re looking for. I highly recommend this place!

This adorable beach home affords a family access to the greatest beach! Literally a 5 minute walk from the property! Deb and Ed are spectacular hosts, making ng sure all was well with our crew.

Your property was amazing especially location and decor. The pool was beautiful as was the landscaping. You provided everything plus that one would need for an awesome experience. We will report the motion light out front went awry and strolled after day 5.

We had a family retreat for Christmas this year at this property. We had a wonderful time. The best thing I can tell you is that the pictures do not do it justice. The place is bigger than the pictures portray! You will not be be disappointed!

The property was as advertised - close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and points if interest. We had a great stay!

This trip was spent with family after my father death in March. It was 4 generations and your home was perfect. Beautifully decorated and well equipped. The pool gave the children and their parents a place to enjoy when great grandmother and grandparents were ready for rest . We come to the Sarasota, Longboat Key location 2 times annually and have certainly found a more permanent home for our trips.

We could not have been happier with our stay. Perfect location, pristine beach, short trip to downtown. Wish we could have stayed longer!
