I stayed at the cottage with my middle school son and his friend for their event at the Corn Palace. The cottage has an ideal location for any time you want easy access to Downtown Mitchell. It was a quick drive to the aquatic center and easy walking for food. I'll take bed toppers next time we stay because the bed and the pull-out sofa were too firm for us, but I don’t count that as a fault. Perfectly acceptable for our stay. The shower is tiny, which was a non-issue for the boys or me; however, it would have been uncomfortable for my 6' 3", 250# husband. Not a deal breaker, just something to know. Overall, a really lovely place to stay and enjoy Mitchell! The cottage is well-appointed, charming, and comfortable in all regards. The boys thought it was our most fun trip to Mitchell yet. The only disappointing part was having to cut our trip unexpectedly short!

The pull out bed cannot be justified as comfortable, therefore I would regard the house as accommodates 2 adults. The house is lacking towel bars in the kitchen and bathroom. The black rug under the bed hides the bed frame legs, especially the middle legs, very easy to overlook and possibly break a toe. Not much fun for vacationing guests. Overall a very cute set up, just lacking a few essentials. Thanks for everything…

The Corn Palace Cottage is exactly what we needed for our stay during DWU graduation! Excellent location and proximity to the Corn Palace, Stacey was very easy to contact and communicate with, check-in/out was a very simple process, the home was cozy and clean. Will stay again when in Mitchell!

Yeah, can you put this is such a perfect place to stay while visiting mitchell. It’s right next to the corn Palace. Plus, within walking distance to every great restaurants and pubs in Mitchell on Main Street. Cozy, neat and everything you need. This will always be our PLACE TO STAY in Mitchell, while visiting our Daughter at DWU.

Staying at the Mitchell, SD Vrbo was just what we needed. We enjoyed a nice meal made on the hotplate then had fun exploring the decorated, lighted Corn Palace. The pullout couch was surprisingly very comfortable. Highly recommended vrbo!

It is a charming place to stay. The description said that we could see the corn palace lit up at night. Well, we could. But only a back corner of it. I think that borders on false advertising

We came to Mitchell for our granddaughter’s State swim meet. This was a perfect place to relax in between sessions. Three young adults joined us so they could watch their sister/cousin swim. I’ve been coming to Mitchell for a long time to hunt pheasants, always stayed in one of the local hotels, I decided to VRBO it this year and boy was I lucky to find this property. I’ll be here next year, thank you.

Very cute place overlooking the Corn Palace. Clean, well-appointed, and I loved having the use of a washer and dryer. Would recommend this rental if you’re visiting or driving through South Dakota.
