The property was amazing for a week stay for an extended family vacation. Our group was mix of kids and adults and the property was perfect for all ages. The house was well stocked with pretty much all the basics you would need and the kitchen was very well stocked with cookware, spices, etc. The only thing I would say is make sure everyone in your party is comfortable with several flights of stairs as the house is 3 stories and the kitchen/main living area is on the middle floor (down one flight of stairs from front door). Was not an issue with our group but not sure how anyone with accessibility issues would fare here. Would recommend this property in a heartbeat and would stay here again! Ruth Ann is great and very good at communicating, as well as addressing any questions/needs you may have before and during your stay!

Our group of 10 (five adult couples) had a wonderful March stay in this beautiful Vail Cascade area home.
Five true bedrooms, three with en suite bath (and one of those a primary bedroom with large tub, shower, large walk in closet, etc ) and two bedrooms with a shared bath provided loads of space. The kitchen is wonderful and very well equipped…a large dining table provides space for at least ten for dining, card and game playing, etc. We did not even use two additional bunk rooms but the extra bathroom there came in handy…just off the kitchen and near the living room…
The home offers great privacy with bedrooms on the top and bottom floors and the dining/living area on the middle floor.
Plenty of stairs, but that was not an issue for our group….
The living room has a double height ceiling with large windows looking towards the creek. Also a gas fireplace. Hot tub very nice touch on the outside deck…..
Our whole group loved the home and it served as a great base for our ski week.
The Cascade lift is vey close (3 minutes) via easy car drop off. Or it is a 10 minute walk down the road and a quick ski down…..for children or more beginner skiers, I would not term this as “ski in. Ski out” but still very convenient…
All in all a great stay!

Ruth Ann was super helpful, location was great and house was spacious. Had a great ski trip with our friends and bunch of kids with us too!

The house is well appointed and kept up. Still don’t understand how we would get credit from the parking garage at the Hyatt. The only issue was the TV is streaming only and none of us could stream anything off of our services. It would be great to have basic channels as a part of the house.

We loved our stay in Vail! The home was perfect for our group of 12. The walk to the lift was easy and the home was extremely well equipped. I definitely recommend this property!

Group of extended family of all ages stayed New Year’s week.
We enjoyed the spacious, tastefully decorated home.
The amenities suited our apres ski routine of hot tub and making dinner either in the kitchen or on the outdoor grill.
The ski access is just a short walk down the road and you can ski all the way from the Cascade lift to the golden peak lift on the east side of Vail to access the back bowls easily.
Thanks for sharing your home.

Our extended family of 10 spent a beautiful summer week at this property. The location and setting adjacent to Gore Creek is spectacular, and the back deck overlooking it all was definitely a favorite of ours. The two bedrooms/one bathroom on the upper level, bunk room/powder room on main floor, and three bedrooms/three bathrooms in basement accommodated comfortable sleeping arrangements for everyone. Communication with the host before and during our stay was friendly and responsive and we were able to resolve a couple minor issues through text. Extensive signage and instructions from the host posted throughout the house provided all the details needed to utilize features properly, and a comprehensive house notebook had every direction and suggestion you could possibly think of. The kitchen is broadly stocked with any possible cooking tool or appliance you may need and also had a large selection of staples such as spices, condiments, and dry goods. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a mid-week housekeeping “tidy” service. Use of the gym and pool at the Hyatt was also a nice perk.

We take our whole family skiing each year. We were 12 of us including a baby. Great location Owner easy to deal with.

The house was wonderful to stay in and fit our family of 12 perfectly. With 5 children (9 and under) they had plenty of space to sleep, explore and enjoy the snow and mountains. The Cascade lift was conveniently located to the house and easy for skiers to come and go! We enjoyed the views, cooking together in the kitchen and playing games in the multi-level dining/living area. Thank you for hosting us, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Our three couples and three kids had more than enough space to spread out and relax as if we were at home. We could have easily accommodated several more people.
The place was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We took full advantage of the kitchen, cooking a large meal every night of our stay.
The house was also in a terrific location in Cascade Village. Having the “secret” #20 Cascade Chair Lift in walking distance with no lines on otherwise busy days in Lionshead and Vail Village was a huge plus!
We’ll be coming back for sure. I can imagine this being an equally great place for summer stays as well.
4.9
The house is extremely nice. We were there for the skiing and the house slept all ten of us very comfortably. It is best to rent the skis at the Hyatt and walk over in boots. The walk in the winter is icy in the morning and slushy in the late afternoon.
4.9
Great location, the owner was very accessible and organized. The diagrams and directions throughout the house made navigating very easy. No complaints.
4.9
A pleasant homey vibe and an inviting atmosphere. The location and views were wonderful. The hot tub was a nice bonus as well as the sauna. Some areas of improvement could be adequate heating throughout the whole home and decreasing the cleaning requirements, considering the cleaning fee.
4.9
Wonderful location and beautifully appointed property with every appliance and accessory you could want for meals and relaxing.

House was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room and gourmet kitchen was well stocked with appliances and staples. But the best part was the backyard deck and view of the creek.
We were in Vail for our daughter's wedding and Ruth Ann was quite helpful in getting us comfortable in the house and familiar with Vail. I highly recommend this host and house to others.

We had plenty of space for our 15 family members. The grandchildren, ages 3 to 11 loved the bunk room and adjacent den, plus a toy room. Getting to it involved going thru a hall way half bath, but it worked out okay. We sat on the back porch everyday and enjoy the River and the wildlife. We really enjoyed watching the hummingbirds come feed every evening! The location was great, close to everything we wanted to do. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could think of! We cooked many meals and even had a chef come and cook for us! Al in all, we loved it and hope to come back!

Great family getaway
This was an excellent property for my husband and I and our visiting family of 9. Plenty of space for all with enough privacy and bathrooms for each family. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking large meals and the grill is convenient. Beautiful location by the river, and wonderful outdoor seating. Do be prepared for stairs. Not a problem for us, just something to be aware of. We had a wonderful stay in this home!

This house is gorgeous, in a great location!
This home is tremendous! Decorated like a villa in Tuscany, it is comfortable, fully equipped with everything you need to eat, sleep, and entertain, as well as beautiful! It's right next to Gore Creek with stairs to access the yard, and the sound of running water in the background. There is a bunk room behind the kitchen that was a perfect place for all the kids to sleep and hang out. The family room and toy room were perfect for the kids. They loved it, and so did the grown ups!
The kitchen is beautiful and fully stocked for any meal you could want. The dining table, game table, and kitchen table accommodated seating for all 14 of us to eat and play board games. We had happy hours on the deck. We all had a great stay at this house. I would highly recommend it, especially for families with kids.
There are many steps on various levels of the house. If you are disabled, this might not be a great choice for you. Otherwise, you should love it!

Magical Location
Beautiful location, pictures are very accurate of property. THe home was very comfortable. Kitchen was a dream and had all the gadgets (we love cooking!) We enjoyed being close to the Chair Number 20 and the Hyatt. The undercover hot tub was amazing. Skiing in Vail was beautiful and a lot of fun! Would definitely come back!!!!!

Beautiful house and location!
We had a great time staying at this property. Just a short walk to the ski lifts, beautiful neighborhood, good amenities, and clear/detailed instructions on how to take care of the home.

Incredible house, perfect location
This home is the kind of place you don’t want others to find out about. We stayed in this house with two of our children, their spouses and six young kids.Everyone was instantly thrilled when we walked in the front door. We have stayed in a number of rental homes in Vail since the early 90’s, and this is far & above all the others. There is a huge common area (kitchen, living room and dinning room) for everyone to be together, and great private space for each couple and the grandchildren. There was also a game room that provided separate space for the grandchildren to be together and play on their own.We were hesitant to stay away from Vail Village or Lionshead, where we previously have stayed, because we had only one van for 12 of us and some of us don’t ski every day.It turned out to be perfect. In the morning one of us would drive the grandchildren (5 to 7 minutes) to the Lionshead ski school, park in the short-term, free parking, and get the grandchildren off. Some would go up the mountain on Lift 8 or the Gondola. My husband and I walked a short distance from the house to the Cascade Lift and back.We never had a lift line or crowds at this lift. Also, we rented our skis at Venture, (at the Grand Hyatt and immediately next to the Cascade Lift) so we were able to valet our skis and boots (heated boots in the morning!).This made our walk to and from Cascade Lift easy.We took this lift up, skied down to Lift 26 (no lift lines there either) and took that to Eagles Nest Ridge and beyond. At the end of the day, we skied back to Cascade. The kitchen of the house is very spacious. It was well-stocked with staples we otherwise had to purchase at the store in the previous rentals we used.We also took advantage of the private chef, Barry, whom the owner suggested. We chose to have him provide dinner on two separate evenings which he brought to the house and set up for us.The food was incredible and it was a perfect choice with young kids. We experienced traveling/weather issues both on the way in and on the way out. The owner, Ruth Ann, was on the phone with us often during our travels and was a great resource. On our way out, Ruth Ann volunteered the property manager who came over to teach us how to put chains (purchased at Walmart) on our van tires She also offered to help us get alternate accommodations if we could not get out of Vail in the weather. Ruth Ann was very helpful from the beginning to the end of our trip.We loved the staying in this house.

Overall, we had a solid ski week in Vail. We are a group of 8 friends looking to ski. This house is perfectly located, a short walk away from the lift to Vail. It’s great for cooking - nice kitchen, tons of amenities. Hot tub is nice too after a day of skiing.
Ruth was a great host. Very communicative over text, easy to check in and out. Mid week cleaning was also straight forward.
There are two minor downsides:
1. The hot tub is located just outside the master. It is very loud, to the point where we had to turn off the breaker every night and turn it back on in the morning. With ice and snow on the porch, this isn’t fun as the breaker isn’t easy to get to.
2. One of the bedrooms (with the bunks) and the game room are accessible through a bathroom through the kitchen. They also have no windows, which is not ideal.
Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed our primary activities (skiing, cooking, hanging out). We appreciated Ruth’s communication and her attempts to do something about the hot tub.

We had a family ski trip with 12 adults and 4 children. House had beds for all but needed one more bathroom. We were able to walk to Cascade lift and ski home at the end of the day. Well stocked kitchen, living room was great as was dinng room. Best was the extra’s for littles. Gates for stairs, high chair, and pack n play were provided.

Great home that can accommodate many!
We enjoyed our 6 night stay. This home has many bathrooms so all four couples did not have to share. It has a beautiful view and the kitchen was equipped with everything you can think of. The owner responded quickly to our minor issues.

Bunk Room—probably the most surprising and disappointing part of the house. It’s described as suitable for kids or adults. We had 4 guys (early 20’s) staying in this room. The room is only accessible by passing through the half bathroom which is connected to the kitchen. It is an incredibly awkward layout. If someone is in the bathroom, you can’t access the bunk room. If you are in the bunkroom and someone is using the bathroom, you cannot get anywhere else until the bathroom is vacated. If someone is using the bathroom the people in the kitchen can hear everything. The man cave is also located back near the bunkroom and only accessible through the bathroom. This space proved helpful for storing luggage and getting dressed for the folks staying in that bunkroom but, because it is necessary to use for that purpose it is not an additional living area like described. The only way that I would consider this bunk room an extra place to sleep people is if the people are small children who would typically be using their parents’ bathrooms. Our bunk room guests had to shower in other guests’ rooms and often found themselves trapped in the bunk room because someone was in the bathroom or locked out of their bunkroom b/c the bathroom was occupied. The description should be much more clear
Access to ski trails is not convenient. We struggled to find the way out and when we tried to ski the route it was a lot of walking and poling to get to the lift. Unfortunately Vail had not opened the Cascade Way run from the top of mountain down to the lift so we were forced to ride the lift down each day from the top. This is a very slow and antiquated lift and at the end of the day there was always a long line to get on the lift. It was easily 30-45 minutes between waiting in line and then the long ride down. Whether the Cascade way run is open or not, be aware that it is not an easy out and may not be suitable for all levels. Also the walk in from the lift isn’t easy either. We tried skiing/ walking with boots, skis and poles from the lift but it proved very challenging. The alternative was to ski into Lionshead and take the shuttle, but with skis, boots, and poles, the slow lift down was actually a simpler, possibly faster, solution. Again, if our group had been able to store our skis that we own at the Hyatt this would have been better but that is not possible. Ruth Ann was very helpful in suggesting some alternate solutions due to the closure of the ski run.

Delightful slice of Vail
Perfect place for our family ski trip. We had 8, and there was plenty of room to be together, or to escape for some quiet time with my husband. Beds were marvelous, kitchen so well appointed I could not ask for a thing. The owner was very responsive and offered helpful suggestions. We will certainly go again!

Colorado beauty inside and out
Morning coffee on the deck, afternoon walking by the river, evening at the fireplace, bright nighttime stars...beautiful home, great location to base out of, or stay and enjoy all day! Comfortable to come home to after a day of fishing, horseback riding, hiking or shopping..all close by. We loved it!!

This property is located on a wonderful river and close to walking/biking trail we used often. Our stay was less enjoyable due issues with the dishwasher, TVs, and fireplaces. We had use of only the top drawer of the dishwasher for only about 4 of 13 days. The rest of the time we washed dishes by hand and bought paper plates, etc. to use some of the time. The owner tried to help by phone and then had her house cleaner come, but she could not fix it. Then a repairman came and said a part was needed for the bottom but we could use the top, though he said it might not work long. It did not. The owner blamed us and said we used too much dishwasher detergent, but we did not. Never used more than a teaspoon as directions indicated. The fireplace didn’t work. The owner seemed to think we did not know how to work it but eventually sent a repairman who had to replace a battery in the fireplace. We could not use the fireplace in the Safari bedroom since the remote was not to be found. We even had the house cleaner look for it but she could not find it either. The owner said it was on the nightstand after we left, suggesting I guess that we and the house cleaner could not see a remote in plain sight. Hmm…
If you stay at this house, it could be a good experience if everything works properly since we liked the location. The screen doors to the back deck were hard to open and close, so those would need to be fixed. Be aware that there are three bedrooms downstairs on the bottom level and you have to go up and down two sets of stairs to get to the front door which is on the top floor. The main living area is on the middle floor. Though the owner suggested we are inept when it comes to appliances and following directions, we actually are seasoned travelers who have stayed in luxury homes in other places and always managed just fine with no issues. The owner was always responsive and tried to help, so perhaps the issues we had are resolved for future guests.

Spring Break
Our favorite trip to Colorado. Ruth Ann was absolutely amazing. She was always there whenever needed. The house was absolutely beautiful, the perfect location. Highly recommend Vail Backcountry snowmobile tours. LaBottega definitely for dinner but you will want to cook in the gourmet kitchen at home. Ruth Ann has the kitchen fully stocked with everything you could think of, it was a joy to cook. The house is beautiful, you won’t need anything. There is plenty of room to spread out and every room has a tv and everything you need to feel like your right at home. The views are breath taking especially while it’s snowing. We had a fabulous week in Vail and look forward to going back.
It was a short drive to Vail Village & Lions-head for skiing, snowboarding, dining & shopping.

LOVED the house and location was great!
The house was absolutely fantastic... plenty of room for us all. Kitchen had everything you could ask for. Hot tub is always a must on our spring break vacations and this was perfect for us. The creek at the bottom was gorgeous and the kids had a blast going down the snow hill right behind the back porch on the snow sleds. So fun to watch! The chair lift right by the house was the cherry on top. We will be back! Thanks Ruth Ann... you were great to deal with.
