This is a nice house. The heat can be a little difficult to manage but, overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This is a unique house and provides a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The views are amazing. If you have trouble with stairs, the spiral stairs might be challenging.

Loved the amazing panoramic view of the ocean. You could hear the waves. Easy access to the beach (as long as you can walk down a steep slop to the beach). Short drive to town. Beds were very comfortable. Nicely decorated with an interesting design (kind of like a lighthouse).

The views were amazing and I can see why they named this property A Whale of a View. The property was just as expected with the pictures. However, this was not a toddler friendly place. As soon as we walked in the carpet was soaked. I can tell they just shampoo the carpet given the chairs upstairs were put up on the table. Which i appreciate the extra cleanliness, but it would have been nice to not have to walk around and go up the stairs with wet carpet during our stay. Additionally, hazardous chemicals were within reach of a toddler and left down below such as: dishsoap, dishwasher tablets, etc. There was a broken light bulb outside on the upper deck which the broken glass is still on the light string. We hung it out of the way. There was also rusted nails by the front entrance next to the outlet.

What a cozy spot. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need for cooking, plenty of comfy seating, and 2 wonderful decks. We loved spending the mornings and evenings on the upper deck, perfect for whale watching (we saw several) and ocean gazing with a cup of coffee or glass of wine! So close to beach access which was perfect for my 2 year old. The home was very clean when we arrived apart from the carpet which is pretty badly stained in several spots. The Icky carpets were a disappointment upon arrival and the reason for leaving a 4 star review. Otherwise everything else was great and the Vacasa team was wonderful about checking in on us and were easy to communicate with. I would still recommend this spot to others and would stay again.

View is amazing, the sound of the the waves can be heard from the home, the neighborhood is quiet, and the beds are comfy. We saw whales and seals from the upstairs deck, it was incredible! Unfortunately, though, especially for this price point, unless the flooring is updated we won’t be staying here again. When we entered we were instructed to remove shoes by a sign. We did so and then proceeded to walk through wet carpet stains. The upstairs smelled as though there may have been urine in the carpet. Even the dry part of the carpet was really stained and gross looking. When I mentioned this on the cleaning survey the following day, a maintenance person contacted me but at that point there wasn’t anything to be done. The customer service was great, so no complaints there. We chose to eat out for most of our meals and when I did use the kitchen toward the end of our stay, I noticed all but one of the large frying pans have deeply scratched Teflon surfaces, so they definitely need replacement. The interior staircase is spiral, and our dog refused to use it, so we spent a lot of time downstairs. There is an exterior staircase that hugs the outside of the building, so she was able to go upstairs but it wasn’t as convenient. The downstairs recliners are pretty beat up and torn in some areas, but still comfortable. Between the 2 first aid kits in the house, they were empty other than some gauze, we were looking for a bandaid. Aside from the carpet, the place is quirky but great.

Kitschy, 70’s yurt style home with sweeping views. This house is like stepping back to into 73. Clean. Fun!

Overall we didn’t get to enjoy this place as we were driving their To meet family for the weekend we got a call that my dad was in ambulance due to a stroke so we had to change course and head to eugene hospital. I called VRBO to let them know figuring I lost the daily rental rate but would get the cleaning deposit back since they need to clean but they said no to all of it. Very disappointing as we’ve used Vrbo a lot and due to a compassionate situation I would have thought they would have at least gave me my cleaning deposit back. Big disappointment.

Overall, our experience here was AMAZING! Sure, it's a bit older and could use some sprucing, but THAT VIEW, it's worth EVERY PENNY! The location is not only beautiful, but it's so close to the local grocery store and conveniently located in between Lincoln City and our favorite, Depoe Bay! If I could live in this house, I WOULD! Management is so responsive and checked in several times to make sure we were comfortable. Can't wait to come back!

I reviewed once but forgot to mention that the listing says it sleeps 8 but there are only beds for 6. There aren’t extra sheets, blankets or pillows for the extra two people.

House ok carpet dirty house had a wet damp smell dishwasher rack broken no coffee filters for coffee machine provided cooking pans in very bad shape furniture was nice beach access not close parking for 3 cars not realistic driveway narrow no way to turn around hot water tank is located in one of the bedrooms and flashes a blue light and makes noise whenever someone runs water spiral staircase not good for older people a little dangerous front door lock bolt not user friendly took a very long time and many phones to gain access needs to be repaired ASAP. No late check out and late access made for a short stay there is no way it takes 5 hours to clean a house check out at 10 check in at 4 for the price not great.

The house is perfect for 3 singles or 3 couples. Plenty of space. Incredible views of the ocean and easy access to the beach. It is well equipped and clean. Our only challenge was getting in with the current lockbox. It should be replaced with a newer/different lock. We needed help with the local contact to get in.

Beautiful property, well maintained, super clean and comfy. Lots of seating which was so nice. Only quibble is make sure to get toilet paper for longer stays as we ran out towards the end.

This property was exactly as pictured. Its strength are in the views and beach. Be aware that the beach access is steep for anyone with walking challenges. We would definitely stay again. Kitchen is small for families that like to cook but the 6 of us managed. Hopefully the management company is addressing the upstairs bathroom sink not working.

The views are amazing. It was prefect home for our family. We enjoyed our stay. Everything was nice and clean. If i could change one thing is that all the windows could open. Besides that the house was perfect.

Pros: Amazing view. Nice stretch of beach Cons: 1st floor had musty smell and the carpet has small stains scattered throughout. Many of the pillowcases and blankets had visible stains on them. The remote for the heater on the 2nd floor did not work. Dining room chair seats were falling apart. There was no water pressure in the bathroom sink on the 2nd floor. The fluorescent light in one of the first floor bedrooms was blinking, and the little lamp did not have a working light bulb. The check out time of 10 am is unreasonable; the past homes we have stayed at have had checkout times of 11 am or later. Overall we had a great time. The view was great, and the beach was clean and not crowded. The house however needs some better cleaning and maintenance.

This home offered plenty of living space for 3 generations. My daughter, grandson and son-in-law had the downstairs and we had the top floor so we found privacy. We spent hours on the deck enjoying the amazing view when we were not at the beach with the dogs. We saw seals, dolphins and whales spouting in the distance. The location in Depoe bay was far less crowded than Lincoln Citywhich was a nice bonus. The home was well maintained and clean. After a long day we relaxed with popcorn & family movies on their huge TV so it felt like the movies. We knew it was a hit when our 9 year old grandson asked to sit on the deck to draw a picture of the ocean so he could remember this trip!

No instructions for check out. I called to learn what was expected. After leaving by 9:30am, I received text at 5:00pm asking me when I would check out. Other than the checkout, place was very nice. Only two wine glasses, dishwasher doesn’t work well and bottom rack difficult to pull out. One more pot for pasta would be great. So for less than $25 this place would be much nicer.

Very nice and clean house, close to stores. Wonderful view! We had 5 adults and a 1 year old. Having two living spaces was great for that. Only complaint was the queen bed was very hard. They called it sleeping on cement. Other than that very happy with everything.

Since you allow dogs i thing the cleaning staff sould do a better job cleaning the furniture espicaly down stairs there was dog hair in-between all the cushions other then that was a nice place
