Really enjoyed the place

Great relaxing place met all of our expectations not too far from Hobart

A lovely spot to stay! Even though this property was a little out of the way, the location certainly added to our memorable Tasmanian holiday! We didn’t see dolphins, but we’re fortunate enough to experience some bioluminescence in the waves breaking on the shoreline during the night - visible from our bedroom window, followed a couple of hours later by the amazing site of a huge cruise ship fully lit, accompanied by tug boats going past our window just before 6 am - who would have thought! We may also have seen the Australis borealis on Thursday night, but as we didn’t have photographic gear set up, can’t be sure on that as this event isn’t normally obvious to the naked eye. Would have been nice if the bed linen and towels were a bit better quality. The bed was comfy and the view from bed was amazing! The shower operation was a bit tricky to get to work and fortunately neither of us have long legs otherwise the toilet could have been difficult to use.

This holiday home is superbly located overlooking Opossum Bay beach. There is direct access to the beach. The water is clear and safe to swim in. There is no rubbish or debris. It is very peaceful out of season. The people are friendly. The views are spectacular. There are good walks nearby. It is only 40 minutes from Hobart International Airport. There is very little traffic. All-in-all, a great place for a holiday! PS: The owners act and communicate professionally.

Amazing place to stay

What an amazing place to stay. It's a true 'beach holiday' and once you hear the waves literally outside the window, you'll be won over. We had one of our best holidays here. The house had everything we needed and was in the most incredible location. The kayaks were a welcome bonus - sunset paddles were definitely a highlight. Highly recommend, we'll most definitely be back :)

What a location! We really enjoyed our stay in Opossum Bay and would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to getaway from the hustle and bustle, but still wanting to be close enough to Hobart to get in on the action. Our family of 4 took full advantage of the gorgeous weather and enjoyed the incredible beach access. The view was stunning and the house well equipped for our small family to rest and relax. Beds and amenities were all on point and there is a lovely little store close by if you need any bits and pieces. If you’re wondering if you should take the holiday, you should!

The property has all you can want for a short or long stay. Perfect location on a quite beach . If only Tassie weather was a bit better for a summer stay!!

Was nice to get away for a couple of days with the kids. House itself had everything we needed, may need a really big spring clean & safety check some day. And the front lock tightened, otherwise all good. Could not fault the location and view, and the beach at your door, beautiful. Liked that the spiral stairs had a child gate for peace of mind. The front door step is a little steep so please be careful if you have little ones or elderly people staying with you. We had a couple of falls myself and little one. Perhaps a first aid kit that can include, antiseptic & or vinegar for jellyfish stings would be handy to have on hand. The owner was very friendly and communicative. We had a lovely stay. Cannot wait to visit again.

Really loved our stay at Beachbreak. The house is really comfortable and the location is amazing. The kids loved exploring on the beach and rock pools. Chris was great and really helpful with any queries we had. Thanks guys

Perfect water front location for a relaxing getaway. Comfortable home with all the amenities and a spectacular view.

Ideal for anyone wanting absolute beachfront - walk out the back and you’re on the beach, which is sheltered and safe for swimming. Opossum Bay is, for good reason, a popular beach break location for Hobart families being only about 45 minutes from town. Living areas had comfortable furniture, super large TV, some toys and games for kids, and plenty of kitchen utensils, including coffee machine and four slice toaster! Modern bathroom, but all facilities in the one room. Steep site so access steps to house and then down to beach not suitable for guests with mobility issues. Internal spiral stairs (necessary to reach bathroom) also difficult for less mobile guests, but owner makes this information clear so no surprises.

Absolute beachfront within the last of the super chilled suburbs of Hobart, embrace the soothing sounds from the kitchen or lay back in bed and look directly at the ocean. Incredible location and all the facilities you require for a weekend away in Paradise!

Excellent property with amazing views. Go to Touch of Mo for great brekkie and coffee. Enjoyed the kayaks. Just be mindful of the return trip to Hobart if you are planning to frequently visit Hobart CBD.

Loved every bit of our Stay. The house was nice and clean, beds were comfy, amazing view and with the beach as your backyard what more could you ask for! Would happily stay here again & will definitely recommend to anyone.

Looking forward to coming back. Absolutely breath taking views from the two storey house. Walk straight on to the beach. Excellent country walks, during which we spotted some seals in the bay. Loved every minute of our stay, What an amazing spot in Tassy, definitely worth the visit. Thank you to our Hosts.

Thank you for such a wonderful stay! The best view to wake up to every morning. Perfect kitchen and fantastic bathroom and awesome living area with a huge TV. We loved having access to the Kayaks too. Our first morning there was a pod of dolphins right outside the house. We will be back for sure!

Great house perfect position close to shop

Beachbreak was everything it claimed to be. The views were even more stunning than I was expecting and it's a joy to cook in the well-equipped kitchen with its fantastic outlooks. The location is a rarity, with steps going directly to the beach, and easy access to charming Saltcotes Beach and walks in the reserve. Hard to beat for a quiet, relaxed, beach break.
