Great, spacious house for a river weekend with friends.

We stayed here with our family of four (two boys) and my parents. It was a perfect spot to get away after a baseball tourney. House was much bigger than it looked online. Backyard/river/porches were amazing. We spent a ton of time outside fishing, playing, and relaxing. Is minutes from Don's Fish Camp too if you'd like to get in the river there as well. Highly recommend! Houes has such a cool historical charm

Great location on. the river, historical yet modernized living quarters. Rooms were perfect for our needs with the large bunkhouse room for the graduates. Liked the 3 thermostats to control various rooms. Got swarmed by beetles one the porch one night but that's a texas thing, overfull load of laundry semi dry in dryer when we arrive3d, that's about the only sub optimal aspect of our stay. River was perfect for cooling down, good privacy

Absolutely wonderful home on the river. We loved our stay. The second story deck was incredible and was a wonderful place to enjoy coffee in the morning and great conversation at night seated on outdoor sofas and chairs looking at the night sky. Beds were very comfortable. Spacious common areas and cozy nooks provided a great place to enjoy games and company. The river and trees were beautiful.

We couldn’t find the toaster till the last day and it was in the laundry room in a closet also there were not enough spoons for 12 people eating at one time they had long handled multi spoons and large spoons but not set that would accommodate everybody eating at the same time The pants were old and less than optimal I would’ve been nice to give a little more description regarding where things could be found we did appreciate the nice clean thick towels - The back deck was beautiful and the view was beautiful unfortunately we had some severe rain storms while we were there and couldn’t enjoy the property as much as we would’ve liked.

This property is so much more than listed. It has history and a coziness that can’t be described. It would be great for young and old alike. We will be visiting again and again with friends and family. Everything was so cute and comfortable. Thanks for making our trip even more wonderful.

Cousin Reunion- wanted very special river property for our out of state Family. They were blown away by the house, the grounds and especially the river. Highly recommend.

Nice place

Loved being able to catch perch left and right. Easy to get into the water and have a short float. Twin 3 year olds and adults had a blast catching the perch on a pole and putting them in a kiddie pool. The rapids were just enough for us to float down and stay with a rope. We saw a family of river otters just across the bank from your property!

My family and I stayed here again this year. Everything is as listed. There is a beautiful view from the back porch of the river. Definitely will be back again.

Overall was great. Family enjoyed our stay however cleaning was not favorable. The bedding in Master bedroom dirty and floors throughout the house were not cleaned, lastly load of laundry left in dryer. We place load on top of the dryer. We would stay there again.

The photos don't do it justice. This property has so much character! And there's so much space...the house just wanders on and on. It's a mix of new and old...parts are like a museum or antique store and others feel more contemporary. We arrived after sunset so we couldn't see the river but we could hear it. What a breathtaking sight in the morning light! I wish the weather would've been warmer to take advantage of the convenience for tubing. My birthday was Friday and my TXST bobcat's sorority had Family Weekend at the same time so we rented this property for the whole family to be together. All total we had 2 college aged kids, one high schooler, myself, hubbby and my 70-year-old mother. We had so much room to spare. My mother liked having her own little suite to herself on the other side of the house. She snores quite a bit and gets up to use the restroom throughout the night, but we never heard her the whole weekend. The only downside to the property was that my mother who uses a walker couldn't go down to the river. She enjoyed the garden and looking at the river from the back porch though. We had no issues during our stay. All amenities, appliances, etc. worked as they should. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed this property. Large home is beautifully furnished and very clean. Plenty of large comfortable beds and great AC led to good sleeps at night.. The huge back yard leads down to the gorgeous San Marcos River and is well manicured. The garden is a nice touch also. Excellent restaurants and shopping are only 10 minutes away. I highly recommend.

We love the house and its location. We really enjoyed the river and the wrap around porch. Huge house and good for a large family. We went to Schlitterbahn for a day...only a 30 minute drive. It was easy in and out from the house to Schlitterbahn. We will be back.
