Our home away from home. We visit often when we are in hendersonville

We made a last minute switch from Jonesboro AR to Hendersonville NC for the eclipse...weather uncertainty and a shorter drive :). Hendo is our go-to destination to get away from Florida and this trip was another good one, including the lovely Woodlands Cottage. It was just as advertised, convenient to our favorite places, great king bed, great deck, and wonderful owners. They have a fabulous property with TWO rentals, both super cute, and they're great with communication. One inconsistency: the pictured toaster oven was replaced by a regular (albeit fancy) toaster. But we weren't visiting to eat-in!

Absolutely stunning! Clean, comfortable, looked like something out of a Better Homes and Garden magazine. Grounds were stunning. We highly recommend this. The hosts were great! Absolutely LOVED our stay! We’ll be back!

Great place for short stay. Heat and air, TV service, and shower all working great. Small kitchen nook and no stove, but wasn't a problem for me. Kinda tough hike up to the cottage with heavy suitcase, but the mountain view there is really something!

First of all the scenery was gorgeous, but more importantly the house was perfect. It was comfortable, clean and had everything you would need. The bed was super comfy. There was a lot of kitchen equipment and supplies. There was even a grill. I especially loved all the storage so I could unpack everything. The balcony was the best part. The owners asked several times if we needed anything. As I said before it was perfect.

the cottage is adorable and very clean, my partner and i had a great time! the owners live onsite and were very accommodating. even though we had some trouble with the lock batteries not working, we still felt safe.

Hendersonville holiday
Bob and Georgina are kind, generous hosts. They were quick to offer fresh towels and linens during our stay even after only a few days. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The grill on the front porch was perfect for grilling after a long day of hiking. All their helpful tips on dining, hiking and tours were spot on and so appreciated. We felt so welcome, it was like staying with friends!

Mountain Retreat

The perfect getaway!
Everything was perfect - extremely clean, comfortable and accommodating. Beautiful property and super convenient to downtown Hendersonville and several local wineries that we enjoyed. We also really enjoyed hiking the nearby DuPont State Forrest. We met Georgina briefly - super friendly and kind. We appreciate the hospitality! :)

Cozy cabin
Cabin was extremely clean and the owner paid attention to every detail, even the small stuff. Nice touch to have a bottle of wine waiting for us. Absolutely no hassle. I can say that I actually relaxed in my vacation this time. I will definitely come back here.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The area is nice with many restaurants and activities fairly close. The cottage is small but has a large bedroom. It’s perfect for a single person such as myself or a couple.

Wonderful July 4 get away!
We have stayed with the Winslows before but always in their other cottage. The Garden Cottage is a little more roomy and cooler on hot summer afternoons, but this one was equally charming. And the Winslows’ commitment to cleanliness, comfort and hospitality shines through as brightly as always! We had a wonderful few days hiking and tubing nearby and eating in the area’s interesting restaurants. I’m sure this won’t be the last time we seek out the Winslows’ properties for a quick escape from the worst of the summer heat!

Perfect little cottage in a beautiful setting!
My husband and I couldn't have been happier staying at the Woodlands Cottage. The cottage was adorable, had everything we needed and was spotless, which is always first on my list of must haves when staying away from home. The well manicured gardens that led us to the quiet cottage was a lovely bonus!

Quaint cottage in a beautiful garden setting
We really enjoyed our stay at the Woodlands Cottage. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very rustic. Loved all the surrounding flowers and garden setting. Perfectly located for all activities near Flat Rock and Hendersonville. Kitchen area is very tiny without a stove, but that is part of the charm. Was adorable. Would stay here again! Owners were wonderful.

Cute and Cozy
We loved our stay in Laurel Park. The Woodlands Cottage is perfect for 2 people. The bed was super cozy. Make sure you try Honey & Salt as well as Hendough for breakfast while you are in town. Both were amazing.

This is a lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Very convenient to Hendersonville. Hosts Bob and Georgina are welcoming and attentive - they live on the property, yet this cottage and another close by on the property are very private. In our opinion a perfect spot for two, especially if you don't need a full kitchen (cottage has small fridge, micro and coffeemaker, perfect for our needs). Cottage is updated and clean. Comfortable king bed in bedroom with plenty of space, nice size sitting room/LR, updated bathroom w shower and just the right size kitchenette. Deck offers lovely views and quiet. A really nice and comfortable spot. You will need to be able to climb some stone steps to reach the cottage. Unqualifiedly recommended!

Charming setting surrounded by woods, stone walks and flowers, gorgeous mountain views but convenient to Hendersonville, Asheville, Flat Rock and many parks. A quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city with quaint charm of a hometown feeling.
We enjoyed our stay at the Woodland Cottage very much that we are talking about a return visit for the spring. The cottage is nestled just outside the cute town of Hendersonville but also close driving distance to several activities. We couldn’t decide which ones to do as we wanted to do them all. Perfect reason to return. The view from the front porch was the best part, watching the sunrise while enjoying your coffee...perfect start to every morning. Highly recommend if you want a romantic getaway with your spouse to reconnect or even just as a solo rejuvenation trip!!
