Located close to Porto, Braga and Guimaraes, it’s a fantastic escape into Portugal winemaking with excellent staff and facilities

We loved our stay at Quinta de Maderne. It is the typical Portuguese hospitality. The owners were lovely and helped us with everything. the breakfast was delicious.

We were spoiled from start to finish: we received an exceptionally warm welcome from our charming hostess, who was even able to provide us with an delightful evening meal (which we hadn't reserved), outdoors on the terrace. The meal was accompanied by wines of the quinta, as well as a little history/description of the winery/wines. Breakfast included a wonderful selection of fresh fruit (which we had been longing for). We really enjoyed the calm atmosphere, and, as weary travelers, so much appreciated a dip in the lovely swimming pool before dinner.

Very nice stay with the owners of Quinta de Maderne. Outstanding kindness and hospitality. The Quinta und it's surrounding are very beautiful and can be discovered by a nice walk. We got a guided tour by the owner which was extremely interesting and the wine is more then delicious. We'll come back soon.

The five of us had a pleasant one night stay at Quinta de Maderne. Manuel and Eufémia are very good hosts, passionate about the wine industry. We had a very nice experience walking around the farm listening to them about their history and how about they built their wonderful property. There were two very hot days, so we’ve have spent most of the time in the pool area, where you can enjoy the sun but also with plenty of shade, we’ve also done a walking into the woods. We’ve have enjoyed green wine and champagne. Manuel’s family was at the property and we enjoyed their company by the pool. Breakfast is big enjoy homemade jams and the traditional local cake “Pão de ló Maragride”. The whole family was very welcoming, even arranging a table for us to eat our take way food that we have ordered for dinner and lunch. The rooms were recently renewed, big bed and toilet, I've loved the small details. Eufémia puts a lot of her into the decoration, very well done. Before the check-out, we had a walk with Manuel around the ADEGA and we passed by the shop to take some nice wine home. The property is pregnant ladies friendly! We’ve loved the experience and we will definitely be back.
