Romantic and historical hotel with good restaurant

No lift

Delightful staff; brilliant location; decent rooms; excellent breakfast.

No lift. It felt tired.

The breakfast was delicious! Nothing can beat the location, and particularly the view, from our room (#5). We had dinner at the hotel and it was ok.

The mattress was very uncomfortable and it is time, in my opinion, to replace it. There was a constant noise in the background (I am very sensitive to noise, hence the request for a quiet room). This was like a basse thumping sound.

Excellent location, very comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff - plus great view from the breakfast room :).

fabulous building right in the centre of Brugge. Lovely helpful team and great breakfast.

Some of the bathrooms might have benefited from some TLC but with such an old building I guess that’s to be expected.

The rooms decorations needs improvement. When we ask if there is an elevator the answer was this hotel is for young people. (we are in our fifties)

We will be coming back here again. This is a nice hotel, reasonably priced. It's big advantage is its location. It is in the middle of town, near virtually everything. This is important as Bruges is a town you walk in. There are buses, but not like in London, for example. The breakfast was very nice. Same thing every day, as is so with less expensive hotels, but a wide variety. The view outside is spectacular, as we are right on the canal.

I understand that due to the age of the building it is not possible, but an elevator would have been welcome. My friend and I are no longer young, and climbing two flights of stairs to our room was sometimes difficult. But the desk help carried our luggage to our rooms, making it a good bit easier.

This has to be the best place in Bruges. We absolutely loved it! An amazing location on the prettiest part of the canals. Terrific restaurant on site with lovely views and great food and service. Very reasonable rates as a 3-star Hotel we thought. Super friendly staff. Our dachshund was made very welcome - he started looking out for the staff who gave him treats. We stayed in the one Junior Suite which is huge and has mesmerising views of the canal from two sides. Just great!

All perfect

This is such a nice hotel in the centre of Bruges. There is no lift and our room was on the second floor but this was not an issue for us. Our room was spotlessly clean with a modern bathroom and a lovely view. The staff were kind and helpful, the location was perfect we will definitely return.

Perfect position in the center right on the channel, very beautiful view from the window! Also nice old style of the hotel with beautiful Belgian room of the restaurant downstairs. Breakfast is nice but nothing special (not so big variety: one type of cheese, boiled egg, bread with butter and jams, croissant, sweet bread and donats, coffee, juice)

The bathroom was quite uncomfortable to take the shower as the roof is angular, so you can't stand straight you should kneel in order to take a shower.

This is a hotel with a perfect location in Bruges, not too expensive either. We have always chosen the small doubles on the second floor, some of them have a wonderful view of the canal and the old houses on the other side. It’s clean, staff is helpful, and breakfast is very good. Parking is fairly easy, a couple of parking houses in the neighborhood.

Location is everything and this place is in the center of it. Could walk everywhere! At the curve in the canal of was also so beautiful to look from and at. Staff was so friendly and the coffee at breakfast was perfect.

There was definitely an older smell about the room - especially in the bathroom but with a spritz of perfume we could mask it.

Great view over the canal. Comfortable beds. Super breakfast delivered to the room due to COVID. This was better than having to go down for breakfast!

A shower in the bathroom would have been nice, its not a deal breaker but getting in and out of the bath is a bit challenging!.
