Staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Hotel was extremely clean. Food was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Room was beautiful with an excellent view.

The view was stunning . The pool was very clean and quiet, staff by the pool were excellent bringing towels and putting up sunshades. What service! The bar was perfect and the food always excellent

The location is great, the room was clean amd beautiful, the beds were extremely comfortable, but the staff was okay.

The location is great & the hotel is amazing. The breakfast is also really nice with a decent European spread. Truly a 5 star experience.

The concierge could’ve been better- had asked them for some help with a car booking , said it’s very busy and they’ll get back to me- they never got back even after following up. Nonetheless, we just used an independent tour company right next to the city Center which helped us get our car booking.

Lorenza, Enrico, Anontonnino all made sure our stay was a 10/10 the entire time! great location, staff, breakfast, pool, spa, rooms, bathrooms and views!

Everything was perfect!

The way the floors and hand rails and room were cleaned constantly. The different areas to enjoy with lemon trees and small statues here and there and the beautiful smells. The breakfast room was exceptional.

The staff at the front desk are trying to do their best but there needs some additional training maybe? for example, I didn't realize that the charge would be done before my stay was over and then I tried to change the charge to another credit card but was told that it couldn't be done. I insisted and the manager did confirm that it could be done. I waited for 15 minutes for someone to help with our luggage but no one came, I had to carry all of my luggage down myself. I have stayed at other hotels where the breakfast buffet had many more options but the current offerings are good.

Very noisy at the back of hotel where our room was and also noisy from rooms above . When on the balcony you ended up looking at your neighbours as there were not full partitions. Hotel good but maybe not worth the price . Some staff not as helpful as they could have been .

The hotel is very well maintained with a huge garden and private beach area. The location is perfect, it is very peaceful and quiet place but only 10 min walk to the central part of the town with a lot of restaurants and shops. On arrival we got a room upgrade which was a very nice way to start our vacation at the Grand Hotel Royal. The room was very clean, good sized with a comfortable bathroom and a lot of storage place. The bed was comfortable so we had very good sleep there. the hotel staff is mega helpful and professional. We felt looked after very well during our stay. We will definitely stay again at the GHR, highly recommended!

We really missed porridge at breakfast( probably something to consider for the hotel management). Also, there were a lot of waiters in the dining area, but we had to make an effort to get their attention. One morning, when we arrived to get some breakfast we sat at one of the tables available but the staff surrounded us saying that we can’t seat there with mostly no explanation. It was so embarrassing moment as people around were looking at what was happening and we had look for another table. Later, we seen them providing this table to another guests. That was unexpected to experience in a 5* hotel. The restourant staff must respect the quest feelings more and be more professional.

The staff was extremely friendly at check in. The recommendations they gave us for dinner were excellent and they booked the reservations for us. I booked this hotel after looking at dozens of options. It was very difficult for me to decide. I was amazed by the view of the beach. My favorite place was sitting on the pool chairs down on the dock. The life guard was extremely attentive and always had clean towels for us to put on the chairs. The hotel was on the beach, yet only a few steps from the train station. It was also in very close proximity to shopping and lots of restaurants. Our room was very large, with a king bed, sitting room, and bathroom. I am quite particular about rooms and this exceeded my expectations. We would stop back to our room multiple times during the day and it appeared it had been cleaned each time we left! The floor was spotless, our bed was neatly made, the tub and bathroom were extremely clean. I was so impressed with the housekeeping- it was probably the most attentive housekeeping i've ever experienced at a hotel, and I've stayed at some very nice hotels. The breakfast was included with our stay, and had quite a nice variety, including an omelet bar.

More water bottles is the only thing that would be nice, but if I would have ask, I know housekeeping would have brought them up.

Perfect location, there are great views from all over the property since it's on the water. It is a very short walk to the main square and all of Sorrento. There's a lift down to the bathing platform where you can swim. The hotel is very clean and the staff are wonderful!
