de plek buiten waar we konden ontbijten was heel fijn.
dame achter de receptie heeft ons goede tips gegeven voor bezoek aan Matera en parkeergarage.
zwembad was niet open, problemen met kwaliteit zwembadwater,
ontbijt was minimaal.

Friendly and efficient service and staff. Comfortable and clean room. Decent breakfast good value
It’s a good walk to Matera centre ( about 40 minutes). Taxi costs 20 Euros . Hotel is very good but location is outskirts of Matera.

Good breakfast.
Only on arrival informed that to swim in outdoor swimingpool we have to put on the swimming hats... and prposed us to buy at receptiin one costs 5€. 🤨 we were 4 persons.
As meanwile in the swimming pool were people with out hats...

Lovely pool with sun all day. Good sized room. Helpful staff.
About 40 min walk from tourist attractions and night life but there was a bus stop round the corner and the 6a took you straight to the center for 1.5 euros each in 5 mins. The hotel staff can give you directions to the bus stop.

This hotel was such a good choice for our stay in Matera! It has a great set-up, we felt we went back in time in a romantic era and enjoyed the most elegant things! Breakfast set-up was amazing and the capuccino was 10/10. All choices of food in the breakfast were good quality. The gardens and pool are amazing and another great plus to this hotel.
Nothing to mention

We stayed only one night but the hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel, rooms and grounds were super clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others
Nothing, we had everything we needed.

Room was very spacy. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was average. What I liked more, there parking lot, easy to commute in the city.

nice staff and good location
weather was hot and a/c was off. we had to open windows at night risking mosquito bites. Breakfast was also very limited. toaster and egg-boiler not working.

Convenient location for the centre. Excellent value for money. Very nice staff helpful. Room clean with very big bed with firm mattress which suited us. NOT like those mattresses that sag in the middle!! Breakfast nice. Nice clean pool with pretty garden.
All good.

The hotel was easy to find. Ample parking. Our room was spotless and spacious. The balcony overlooked the lovely garden and pool area and away faced away from the road, it was quiet and relaxing. The air conditioning was quite and effective, the bathroom well stocked with toiletries etc. The staff were very helpful and answered any questions we had. We were kindly accommodated for a light dinner despite them having a large private dinner already being booked. We chose from a set menu. Breakfast was small cakes, croissants, biscuits and jam - fairly standard for southern Italy. We were not offered anything else but I understand from other reviewers that you could ask for other things like meat, cheese and eggs. The hotel has a bar but it had no customers or staff present during our stay. A good choice of hotel from which you can easily drive into Matera and park, probably too far to walk comfortably. Relaxing around the pool and having a refreshing swim was a good way to end a hot day of sightseeing.
The hotel has a lot of rules around using the pool. Swim caps are mandatory and are €4 to buy at reception-OK I can understand that (€2.95 at Decathlon) and you keep the swim cap to take home. HOWEVER €5 to rent/borrow/use a pool towel PER DAY is just unacceptable - the hotel has to launder room towels anyway so why the extra charge? Also this is not made clear at the time, at no point did any hotel staff say that the charge would be made and added to your bill at the end of your stay. It is not mentioned in the "pool rules" of which there is a whole page! It left a bad feeling as we checked out and could be easily avoided. I would urge the Hotel Management to remove this charge. This is not a criticism of the staff at all as they were polite and sorry for the charge!

Hotel is situated far away from the center of the Matera. Old-fashioned hotel, strange smell in the room… hello I am from Eastern Europe but the price was too high defensively!!! compering to Bari and the other places in Pulia . The best thing is the mandatory cap for using the pool… hello it’s 21 century Mr Head of Hotel. Advantage: nice staff
Breakfast in the garden-:) gardens require better attitudes to clients and better breakfast
Anyway I don’t recommend

Staff were very friendly. Very comfortable beds, room was spacious. Love Kiki (the residence cat) and Traly(the residence dog)!
The variety of the breakfast could improve a little.

For one night stay, if you don’t have other options, it works.
The hotel is old, for sure not a 4 star hotel. The bathroom was old, toilet brush was not changed since the begining probably (really gross), it has an old bath tub, everything is old and in not the best condition. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast, basically everything was finished, eggs were out, the croissants finished, really really disappointing. And it was not a buffet. For sure it did not deserved the money.

The staff, the lady on the reception was wonderful and very helpful. Room was very clean and had everything needed. Good breakfast.

Nice big room. Very comfortable bed.
I was surprised by poor choice for breakfast. The idea to mark in the evening what you want for breakfast and be served by the table in the morning (because of covid) is great, but in 4star hotel one would expect eggs, salami, cheese which were not an option on the menu. The hotel is nice otherwise

The facilities are comfortable. The staff was very nice.
If you want to access to the swimming pool you need to use a cap. It is not mentioned on the hotel description, so if you don't have it, you need to buy one to be able to access to the pool.

Friendly staff, swimming pool
The hotel keeps a dog which was barking all three nights right under our window. A remark to the staff did not help...
