The views are breathtaking. We loved watching the dolphins play in the surf in the mornings. The outdoor spaces were spectacular!

Our family had a wonderful time! It was a perfect getaway. The home was beautiful just steps away from the beach. The host was responsive and courteous. We will definitely be back!

Property matches pictures in listing. Only thing is washer and dryer is on second floor not in garage. It was clean on arrival and was easy to get into with communication provided a few days before check in on how to do so. Overall we enjoyed the stay but there are some things I would like to mention as listings and other reviews didn’t elaborate or explain on. Location to water is great but there are several other rental properties around. I say this to say that both weekends a lot of people coming back from the bars returning to their rental, it could get a little loud with windows open at times. Rooftop deck and side deck are the features of this rental and are great. We did not use the bbq as it seemed the grates were a little rusty on the inside. Plenty of body boards and sand toys. Also have chairs and umbrellas available to use. Kids loved having the tote of sand castle toys. Master bathroom was nice and high pressure shower to help get that sand off! Garage is short on both accounts, height and depth. Have a spotter guide you in and out. Wish we would have got a garage code. Had to have a passenger hop out, open the main door and then open garage. If driving alone have to park car, go through front door and open from inside garage and go back to car to park. Liked that they left a bucket of water by garage entrance to rinse feet off as the hose is in the back but on the other rental’s downstairs area so not available to use. Everything seemed to work well with a few minor issues I reported to the management company. Overall it was a great stay and would stay here again.

House was great. Rooftop sunrise and sunset’s were amazing.

Well appointed place with great views. Having so many outdoor spaces to relax with a cup of coffee or a cold beverage and gauge the quality of the swell before heading out is a pretty nice amenity. My kids and I got in super early before check and the staff was more than accommodating to allow me to get in early, drop my bags and hit the beach. I would definitely recommend this place.

Stayed here with my two small kids and family. It was absolutely wonderful. The entire property was stocked with everything you could want. Beach toys, chairs, towels, cooking supplies, fresh filtered water. The outdoor spaces had stellar views for sunsets and morning coffee, and the inside was modern with all the amenities. Great location too. Hope to stay here again next year!

The property was like the photos, and I mean that in a complementary way. It looked nice, had good views, nice decor, and we enjoyed hearing the ocean in much of the home and being so close to the beach. It was well maintained overall and had all the things we needed. We enjoyed our stay overall. Our biggest two negatives weren’t mentioned in the other reviews though, so full disclosure: 1. Due to the climate there is very little insulation. We learned that the living area is the ceiling for one neighbor’s sleeping area, and the entry is likely the main living area for the other neighbor. You can hear normal conversations clearly through the walls in several parts of the house. One night our one year old toddler walked/ran around in the living/TV room at 10pm (he’s new to walking) and the renter below was dissatisfied so they started banging on the walls and yelling. That scared our five year old of “ghosts” and kind of ruined that night. Apparently the toddler footsteps were keeping them from sleeping. While they were quite out of line with how they handled it (details aren’t needed), I can understand that they were having trouble sleeping and had a reasonable expectation to sleep at night that wasn’t being met. It’s just kind of a rough arrangement if you have any neighbor that isn’t super quiet. On the upside, the master bedroom is pretty well isolated. 2. The other item is a lot more minor and would be easy to resolve - all of the bedrooms only had semitransparent window coverings, so when the sun rises you’ll have your room filled with light. It’s pleasant if you aren’t a late sleeper or you cover your eyes, but it can be a challenge if you want to sleep in. The location is nice and the garage is a very nice feature and has some beach toys etc. It is quite short and low, so a full size SUV or pickup would have trouble. We enjoyed our stay overall, but due to the high potential for noise depending on who rents adjacent to you I am not sure we will stay at this specific property again.

We all had a very relaxing and enjoyable trip.

The family spent a week at this great property (too short a stay!) during September and we loved the proximity to the beach (steps away) and to restaurants/grocery stores (drivable). Because the cool breeze off the ocean was so refreshing, we never wanted to leave the house. Weekends could get noisy (no surprise considering the location) but otherwise our stay was a 10. The house is beautiful and has all the amenities (laundry, beach towel, toys, boogie boards, umbrellas and chairs) you could want for a beach vacation (except air conditioning which wasn't needed). Our host was very helpful and answered whatever questions we had. We were sad to leave after our week and look forward to going back.

We really enjoyed our stay - the house was excellent. Location just one half block off the beach, but you have a great view of the beach. House was very clean and the kitchen extremely well stocked with equipment. The rooftop patio is a game changer. Thank you - highly recommend!

We LOVED our stay at this house. It's updated, well-stocked, and the location is perfect. The indoor/outdoor living is so nice, with a large door that opens to the balcony. The rooftop deck allows 360 degree views, with a barbecue, table, and comfy lounge furniture. The pathway to the beach is steps away, which keeps you close to the sand without being right on the noisy, busy boardwalk. The kitchen is fully stocked. There's a pantry for storage, and the knives are even sharp! The extra sleep mattress provided is super comfy; way better than expected. Bedding is nice and new. Full-size washer/dryer and laundry detergent provided was a nice touch too. Good amount of storage compared to other beach houses. This part of Mission Beach has fewer rentals, so it's not crazy busy like some of the other parts near Belmont Park or Pacific Beach. We thought it was the perfect house in the perfect location. We'll be going back again for sure. The only negatives we found were: lots of stairs, slow drains on the 2nd level (typical of a house at the beach), no water hookup for feet washing at the door, and the rooftop can get pretty hot. Wish they had some umbrellas up there. And a fire pit would be nice too. :-) If you're booking this house, they supply beach chairs, sand toys, umbrellas, and boogie boards, but I suggest you bring your own boogie boards and beach chairs.

Well appointed kitchen. A mildew smell on the second floor. Hot on the second floor. Broken vacuum. Loud. But, incredible rooftop and 2 minutes to the beach.

Overall the experience was great. A very well designed and well decorated space, which is conveniently located seconds away from the Mission Bay boardwalk & beach, and just minutes away from plenty of great restaurants & stores. Only a couple of minor areas that could be improved --- the patio furniture cushioning is showing its age & could use replacements. Would probably help to have them either covered or stored indoors while vacant? Also a few of the metal fixtures show some minor rusting., but my guess is this is due to the indoor-outdoor setup of the home and the salt from the Pacific ocean...again, VERY minor and I wouldn't let it keep me from renting a a second time. Would definitely recommend.

Last minute booking and process was flawless

We had a great time at Mission Beach and the house was lovely. Clean, great access to beach, shops, restaurants, everything! All the amenities for beach relaxing, lounging on the decks. Enjoyed morning runs on the beach - it all was right there. Plenty of room and fairly quiet considering we were a 1/2 block off the beach! Would definitively book/stay again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The pictures were 100% accurate and the ocean views were amazing!! We walked the boardwalk every morning and found a couple delicious coffee spots. The kids enjoyed riding the scooters around the area, too. Thank you for your attention to detail in keeping this place so well maintained. We will tell many friends and family about our great experience!!

This house was a perfect location for our visit! Conveniently close to the beach, downtown nightlife, and everything else we wanted to do! The freezer and fridge gave us some issues, but the views of the beach made up for it. Loved this house!

Eight of us, grandchildren, parents and grandparents thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home. We spent the entire week in the water which was 77 Degrees. Great for swimming, not so great for the fish. The house was equipped with all the beach equipment you would need. The views were incredible, we saw sunrises and sunsets every day. We saw dolphins close in 5 of the seven days. A word of warning, it can be very noisy because of the close neighbors. Unfortunately for us, for two nights, a dog barked loudly for an extended period of time from next door. Also, be aware that there is no AC, so the bedrooms were very hot. A suggestion for the managers: provide a new can opener and new pair of kitchen scissors. Also, a new boogie board would be nice for future visitors. We loved our stay. Thank you. Linda and Skip

It is beautiful and clean

Great beach house with the ocean steps away on one side and the bay on the other. Top deck is absolutely perfect for sunset bbq and the open deck off the kitchen is fabulous too. Plenty of room for a family of 5 with parking for a minivan. Loved it!!!

This was an awesome beach rental. Only 2 houses from mission beach. If you are looking for a house right on the boardwalk, I would recommend considering a house a couple houses back due to the high traffic on the boardwalk. Great views of bay and ocean. 2 awesome decks to look at the water. Gorgeous view of the sunset. The huge sliding glass doors off the kitchen were amazing, allowing you to walk onto the lower deck and take in the wonderful San Diego weather. The house was a short walk to nearby restaurants. The property management group was awesome and responded very quickly to our slow draining shower problem. They had a plumber out that same day. The house was clean and spacious for our group of 7. There are a lot of stairs but that was not a problem for us. The 3 car garage was nice for our rental van and all 7 of us to get into and out of. The house had beach chairs, and beach toys. I would rent this place again in a heart beat!!!!

The property was very comfortable and well laid out for my large family. Booking was, garage ideal even for SUV.Ideal for beach and local facilities.Will definitely return in the future.

The photos and description of the house were accurate. The furnishings and decor are high-end. The place was perfect for hanging out, especially with a toddler! We loved the open living space and the sliding doors that connected to the deck. It was a bit too breezy and cool to use the rooftop deck, but it was very nice too. It was just a few steps to the boardwalk and beach, which was amazing! There were just a few drawbacks -- minor ones. There weren't many good shops or restaurants nearby. For such a high quality house, it had low quality sheets...and no blankets for the living area. We also had to get a few supplies like a spatula for cooking, WD40 for very squeaky doors.
