we loved everything about this little hotel. our hosts were warm and welcoming, the decor is beautiful, the room was very clean and had everything you needed including tea and coffee facilities. the big bed was superbly comfortable and the view from our balcony was of the mountains and sea. with parking outside and a lovely restaurant downstairs we couldn’t have found better. we had a fantastic meal and a fabulous choice of breakfast the next day. I can’t recommend the Avalon highly enough and it was excellent value for money. thank you Alix and Kevin

we booked with a couple of friends, and we were all very impressed indeed by the Avalon. The staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were sizeable and clean, with excellent facilities, and comfortable beds. Lovely shower. Great views from the terrace, and a lovely sun roof. The breakfast was fantastic.

Super comfy bed, lovely shower and fabulous breakfast. Air conditioning was wonderful. Literally 3 minutes walk from beach. Small fridge in bedroom with fresh milk for coffee. Kevin, Alix and staff couldn't have done more for us - thanks for a lovely holiday!

No pool, but the beach was so close it didn't matter.

A wonderful hostal with an amazing view. We didn't expect such a great Host with a lovely Service Personal. That was always so helpful and friendly. Even if your are not planning to stay in the hostal, you should try the Restaurant, if you are in the area of Nerja:)

Wonderful elevated view. Spotlessly clean room with comfortable facilities and superb breakfast! Dinner in the restaurant was delicious too. Alix and her team were really friendly and welcoming. We would definitely return and recommend Hostal Avalon to our friends.

The one thing at can't be controlled is the traffic noise. It's not horrendous and it didn't detract from our stay but if you wanted complete peace and quiet it might be a bit of a problem. Having said all the positives far outweigh this one slight negative.

Big balcony with fabulous views to sea and mountains. Large room, comfortable bed. Very clean. Comfortable restaurant and breakfast on terrace. The food was delicious and our evening meal not only looked beautiful but tasted great too. The owner and staff were friendly helpful and professional.

I am scratching around to find anything at all. The lighting in the bedroom could have been brighter for someone older.

This is a charming family run hotel and the hosts were helpful and friendly. The rooms have fantastic views. The restaurant was lovely and the food and service was exceptional.

Good parking facilities and restaurant.

The location was a bit isolated. You couldn’t park in Nerja as it was packed . You can get a bus bit with covid we were rather wary .

A small place with all needed facilities and beautiful balcony/Terasse with a view at the Sea. 5 minutes away by car from the city center of Nerja. Simple interior design. Air-conditioning provided. Best possible location, very close to the best beach in the area( 5-7 min walking). Best beach cause it was large, clean, not full of people and had all the needed facilities. There are other more beautiful beaches in Nerja but all of them are so terrible crowded. This one here was just perfect. Staff was nice. The Hostal has own free parking.

The hostal has a restaurant with good reviews, however we did not manage to book a table for dinner in one week.

Very nice hosts The room was really nice with good class bedding and matching curtains etc .The view as fantastic .Food was first class . To see three very well cared for cats in the lovely gardens was wonderful.

The room is beautifully comfortable (including the bed and bed linen, which are normally a bugbear for me, as I am fussy about my high-quality cotton bedding at home). The staff are professional, welcoming, friendly, caring and attentive. The environment is lovely, with the beautiful gardens and view. The food is exquisite - and we are foodies, mainly vegan, all organic and used to spoiling ourselves, quality-wise - Kevin is a fine chef and takes personal pride in every plate that leaves his kitchen! This is a place we will come back to again and again.
