Location and view of the ocean was beautiful. Beds were very comfortable. Arranged a bioluminescence tour for us, that was wonderful. The receptionist was very polite and helpful.

It’s a little far from town but worth it for the quiet.

Location is perfect: front beach (very relaxing watching the see from room and property in general), close to punta coco and down town. It’s not a noisy place.

It should have food service

We thoroughly enjoyed the room with its stunning beach view, and the staff were kind and helpful. However, there is one major issue that detracts from an otherwise positive experience.

Unfortunately, the hotel has a major issue with the WiFi, as it does not reach the rooms. Guests are forced to go to the common areas if they want to use the internet. Another major concern is the broken staircase that leads to the beach. One of the stairs is missing, and the rest are in poor condition. This caused my girlfriend and me to fall on our first day, as it was dark and she was injured as a result. This is extremely dangerous, especially for older guests. Despite these issues, the room itself was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, it is crucial that the hotel address the WiFi and staircase concerns to ensure the safety and comfort of their guests.

*right* on the beach - the noise of the waves was deeply relaxing. The temperature was ideal - it was noticeably hotter inland. The hotel was lovely and constructed sustainably with traditional looking methods. Beach beside us was lovely and easy stroll to various tour offerings.

WiFi was unstable - not ideal for remote working.

My room was not cleaned properly before I arrived

The ocean front room was great.

Advertised as a bungalow we instead stayed in a second floor room. Advertised as having refillable fresh water we were instead offered plastic bottled water. Asked for a basin to put beside our door for water to rinse sand we used a waste can instead. Front gate held shut by knotted electric cord. Steps to beach broken, missing a plank, unsteady. Open work area for pipe repair in walkway, dangerous.

the best and the only amazing thing about this accommodation was Eric the receptionist from Golden Paradise Beach. He was very helpful, kind and did everything within his power to help us with all the failures of this place. So all the negative things I’m writing are NOT his fault. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. Booking.com said the Golden Paradise was going to offer me a compensation because of all the stuff that was missing or broke or not working but they are ghosting me since I contacted them directly. PLEASE GO AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE ON HOLBOX this accommodation is not worth the price. it’s falling apart and it’s not as in the pictures.

This place is falling apart while looking at it. Dust everywhere, a so called “kitchen” with no equipment at all and a sink you don’t want to touch because it’s extremely dirty. just a fridge but no glasses bowls knives or whatsoever. On booking.com one of the facilities are mosquito nets, that was one of the reasons we booked it because we knew there were a lot but they don’t have any mosquito nets in the rooms at all. during our 1 week stay we had 1 day without any water at all. The rest of the six days that we’re left we had 4 days without ANY hot water coming out the shower. the 2 remaining days there was a bit of hot water but it was dripping so washing your hair was no option at all. We reserved the familie room with partly sea-view but if we wanted to have a look at the sea we had to walk around the apartment. Our neighbors did have their own outside terrace with 2 chairs and a table but we didn’t. The only thing we could do is take two chairs and put them around the corner of our room-entrance but from there the music from the reggae bar next door blew us off the balcony. The music coming from that place was so extremely loud it was on maximum volume 7 days long.
