Place was clean, great view, ac didn’t work right. friendly staff but there were surprises that we didn’t count on. paying extra money for bracelets per person (300 pesos), a down payment of 1000 pesos to open a bar tab, you can only use to chairs on the beach or pool..

We stayed here over New Years - 4 couples. It was fabulous! The beds were super comfortable and the linens were new and clean. The view from the balcony was just stunning. The only downfall of the property was the location of the office - difficult to find if you do not know the area. Also, there is a charge for the bracelets at time of check in. The pool bar is run on credit only. You need to put money down in order to use it. Other than those couple things, the place was an absolute dream. It was perfect for our trip. Ixtapa is always at the top of my travel plans!

We have returned to Amara for 10 winters and have stayed at the Amara (same condo) all ten years. The Difranco's have been fabulous people to rent from not only flexible to our rental dates, but also as our guides in our early years. As you can review on the website, the view from the balcony is breath taking. Beaches are perfect sand for walking or swimming. Beach lounges and palapas are provided. As small restaurant is available on the grounds. Pools are great and the entire complex is well maintained. Sunsets are the best part of the day from the 6th floor balcony! With ample space for cooking, lounging, sleeping or just hanging out this is the spot for a large family or just a few couples getting together for a getaway. Lupita (a family friend) is available for mid week touch ups or to cook a meal. We have over the years had a few minor condo issues, but they were fixed either that day or the next. We are outside enjoying the beaches, fresh air or sight seeing!! Problems were corrected when we were gone! Talk about the restaurants! They are right across the street and no need for a taxi. Every possible kind of food is available and reasonably priced. If you are worried about security, don't. The complex is completely gated and security is always present day and night. You have to check in at the front gate either coming or leaving. This is the spot for a winter vacation. Weather is perfect, sand is fantastic and vacation location is spot on. Enjoy!!!!! Yes, loved our stay, unit needs maintenance. This is our third time staying at Amara. The place is fantastic. Grounds and pools wonderful, spacious and well kept. Balcony gorgeous for viewing the sunsets. Unfortunately, this unit had issues with the A/C and the water not working while we were there. The owner sent Maintenance staff to try to repair it, but they didn’t come up with a permanent, workable fix, so we vacated the unit after 4 days. Beds and lined linens are also are to the point of needing replacement. If owner can take care of these concerns, one could stay there moving forward. Again, owner tried, to get help, but problems not resolved soon enough.

Three familes(six adults and two babies) stayed at this location. We spent a week and had a great time. The location was perfect for us. The facilities was beautiful and clean. Right on the beach. The balcony view is amazing Michelle/Cliff was very responsive to emails and requests. We used Lupita for cooking and the two meals were delicious. It was nice to have her cook since we had two babies. If we go to Ixtapa as a group, we will definitely rent again.

Our family of 8 rented Cliff's condo last year for 2 weeks at Christmas time. It was amazing, so spacious and well equipped, just as described. Cliff and Lupita were wonderful, taking care of anything we needed. to celebrate our traditional Christmas! We are returning for Christmas again this year, with the whole family and 2 new grand babes. We love the condo, the area of Ixtapa and Zihuat and the surfing at Las Saladitas. What a fantastic family holiday, one of our very best!

Everything is exactly as it's stated here. So many other owners in complex know of Cliff and had nothing but wonderful things to say about him and his wife. Lupita..OH MY GOSH...Lupita!! Use her for cooking and cleaning. She is amazing. There are many great places to eat in Ixtapa - but to have Lupita's cooking is undeniably the best in town. She is such a kind person and does an excellent job. Cliff we truly cannot thank you enough for the wonderful accomodations you provided. We plan to come back many many times. I have amazing photos if anyone needs to see more pictures. The view is breathtaking. The staff down at the Palapa are funny, attentive and kind.

We rented Cliff's condo for a 4 day weekend and it was glorious. This time we asked Cliff to provide us with a maid and cook. Lupita was not only an excellent cook, but very attentive to our needs. There were 6 of us and she was able to keep us all well fed and rested. We even called in advance and asked Lupita to do basic shopping for us before we arrived so that the pantry was full of the basic items we would need. I fully recommend this property.

We just spent a week in Cliff's condo and had a great vacation. It exceeded our expectations. The facilities are beautiful, of high quality and well run. Right on the beach. The palapa at the pool has reasonable prices for drinks and snacks. The location couldnt be better. You are within walking distance to the main stores and restaurants of Ixtapa.Cliff is very easy to work with and went out of his way to accommodate our needs and requests. We will definitely rent from him again.
