A bit difficult to find after dark

The staff were super friendly and they were awesome with our lab. The location was great, we were in the middle of Lüneburg Heide. Once the car was parked, it's where it stayed until we left. All our hikes started right from the place, after breakfast that is. The cool part was we could get a warm meal in the evenings when we came back from our hikes. Because it was out in the boonies, it was very peaceful at night. If we had better weather, we could imagine how awesome the stargazing would have been. We want to come back again.

This is a very nice and quiet place and perfect for families and family reunions. The location at the heart of the LünerbirgerHeide is perfect. The rooms were clean and comfortable, even though beds, furniture, etc. were somewhat dated. The breakfast was perfect and the personnel most friendly and helpful.

There is not much to improve, except maybe that some of the furniture would benefit from a major "overhaul".

Landhaus Eickhof is a great place to spend a quiet holiday on the road less traveled. Courteous staffers begin your day with warm greetings & farm fresh eggs made to order. A variety of choices provide a hearty breakfast for many tastes. Top that off with a spotlessly clean room, a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. Value for money, tasty regional food & great servers completes the dining experience. The snitzel was amoung the best I've had, covered in a exquisite mushroom sauce. Our stay in the magical Lüneburg Heath was enjoyable thanks to our hosts at Eickhof!

My singular wish would be a possibility for outdoor dining during this Covid era.

Stayed one night! The hotel is in a pretty area in the forest with horses roaming around. Our room was big, quaint, very comfortable and excessively clean. The hostesses of the hotel were really friendly, courteous and hospitable. The hotel has a restaurant with amazing home made food (restaurant is open from 12-14 and 17-20 o’clock). Delicious!! (Beware - the portions are big) Breakfast was big, many different options and absolutely delightful. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic place, we have been there 3 times in a month :) Great surroundings, building with character, very nice and professional people, awesome food and beer and atmosphere for cheap money. One of our favourite places in the countryside around Hamburg. Unfortunately we do not live in Germany anymore, but I really hope to get back one day. Thank you!
