it was a very quiet location, yet very close to everything and the staff was very friendly and helpful

The location is perfect: one quiet block from the tourist activity area. The proprietess Michelle is a gracious, hospitable, and helpful resource. The facilities are exactly as advertised, with a feeling of airiness and freshness. The sparkling pool is a scant 20 paces from the lodging.

As soon as you open the gate to La Bellaventura, you'll know you chose wisely. The grounds are lovely, filled with tropical trees and flowers. My cabana was simple, airy and had everything I needed and more including a front porch with kitchen facilities and cookware (if you choose to cook) and a hammock stretched across the back porch. Everything is a true oasis. From the moment you walk in, Michelle is warm and welcoming and happy to help you with anything you need. Located a short walk from Playa Grande and Las Galeras' commercial strip and a bit of a longer walk to the lovely Playita beach, La Bellaventura is centrally located but still tucked away on a quiet side street. Michelle was helpful even before arriving, helping me arrange transportation from Samana. She had excellent recommendations for things to do in and around town and even helped me obtain a covid test for travel back to the US. If you choose--and you should--the breakfasts are wonderful, including eggs, homemade bread and fresh tropical fruit and juice every day, served on your front porch. My stay at La Bellaventura was definitely a highlight of my trip to the Dominican Republic.

A beautiful place and well worth the drive! we really enjoyed the bungalow, used the bbq every night, and found our hosts to be very friendly and helpful! they will book you a Whale watching tour that does not disappoint! if you have a car, you also need to check out playa Rincon! We loved the vibes of the area - natural, and laid back! a great experience and our favourite spot that we stopped at in the DR!
