We had a very pleasant stay at this home. Everything we needed was there, and it was quite comfortable. Close enough to LU campus that we came and went all we wanted. Would definitely recommend to others!

This is a cute little place in a neighborhood close to everything. It was very clean and had all the basics. The queen bed was super comfortable. Excellent communication with the homeowner. Would definitely stay here again if we return to this area!

Perfect , budget friendly place to stay to visit our daughter at Liberty . Close to university , restaurants and stores . There were chocolates to welcome us and some staples in the fridge . Also a nice selection of DVDs and family games . Much better than a hotel with more room and privacy .

Stayed here for my week long intensive. Spouse came with me and worked from the house as well. Seven minutes from LU campus. We ordered groceries online and made dinner each night after being in class all day. Then back to homework before sleep. Will have to remember for the next intensive. Much cheaper than the University options!

A good place to distress. Nice size backyard for kids to play. The manager was professional.

The place had everything we needed

I drove back to Liberty University with my daughter following Thanksgiving break and stayed in town a few extra days to spend time with her. Stephen's home was perfect for this! It was close to things in town but was also off of the main road so it was more private and peaceful. Communication was perfect and the house had all of the amenities we needed. I would highly recommend this sweet home when you have a smaller group visiting Lynchburg. I would definitely rent here again in the future!

Another pleasant stay! This has been such a convenient home away from home for my husband and I that allows our LU students to have dinner with us and stay the night on weekends. As this is football season... having multiple t.v.s works well. My husband can watch sports in the living room, while I enjoy binging on some shows in the bedroom. Rhe home is located conveniently to getting to LU and Jefferson's Poplar Forrest and many eateries. We liked Iron & Ale. Stephen is super responsive and accommodating! We will be back!

My Husband and I came in for a college tour to Liberty University. This place was 6 minutes from campus and 3 minutes from restaurants and stores. Very simple house with everything you need.

The cottage was just what we needed and the hosts incredibly helpful in directing us to local sights. The back porch was the best porch with the swing and the view of fields and sunset in the evening. The queen bed was a little soft for us but the twin beds were great. We'd stay here again.

This was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay while moving our twins into their dorm at L.U. whike they were in color guard camp. Soooo much better than being in a hotel! Room to RELAX!! Loved having an eat-in kitchen. So great that basic condiments were provided and full supply of spices to cook anything we wanted.. Loved thatvthey had decent sized MUGS!!:Place is neat and clean. Our daughters stayed with us 2 out of the 7 nights so they could take Epsom salt baths to soothe their aching muscles!! (No bathtub in their dorm). The weather was brutally hot for most of the week so we were very grateful for the a/c. Just need to be careful backing out of driveway...'cause there's a decent amount of cars coming through. We will be back!!

This place was just right - pleasant and welcoming decor, no clutter, clean, light and spacious for the size. Easy access to everything. Nice and safe feeling neighborhood. Responsive and pleasant communication with Stephen. Thanks! Would definitely book again.

Stephen's cottage was perfect for our three night stay in Lynchburg. The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood and is very comfortable. Stephen has done a great job with renovations so that you can see the old and new seamlessly melded for a cozy stay. We loved the serenity of sitting on the back patio. The cottage is very clean and is close to many historic places and downtown Lynchburg as well as nice restaurants right in the suburbs.

We had a wonderful time in this clean, comfy home. The kitchen is updated nicely, as is the rest of the home. We enjoyed relaxing on the back porch swing, and visiting with our son and first grandchild. It’s located minutes from everything. Host Stephen was quick with responses, and checking in was very easy. We will definitely stay here again!!

We love staying at this property. Just a hop away from shopping and LU. Kitchen has all that you need and for a small house- plenty of room to visit and relax. Quiet neighborhood and great host.

We stayed here for an overnight visit to Liberty University. The location is close to campus, restaurants and shopping. Communication with Stephen was very friendly, prompt and professional. He made check in extremely easy. The house was spotless and and smartly decorated.The house is very well stocked and perfect for 4 people. The personal touch of the welcome sign was thoughtful. We found the master bed very comfy and slept well. We appreciated having coffee k-cups available for coffee in the morning. We would stay here again if in the area. Thanks Stephen!

My wife & I stayed here while in town on a recent trip & booked this property mainly for its close proximity to Liberty University. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. When we originally booked this reservation the Covid-19 pandemic was yet to take hold and as a result our trip was in jeopardy. Throughout the process communication was always prompt courteous and flexible, which was greatly appreciated in light of current events. Our plans did not change and we did keep our reservation and upon arriving the house was as described and thoroughly cleaned. This unit sits in a neighborhood that is fairly quiet with a view of the airport off the back porch. We spent most every night sitting on the porch swing on the back porch talking and watching skies above. While I would say our stay was an overall success there were two glaring issues that prevent me from giving this property a perfect 5. The first and most glaring is the bed in the master bedroom. The bed was either really old, broken or cheap as my wife and I could not sleep in the bed together as it simply would collapse in the middle. This lead to my wife sleeping in one of the twin beds in the other room, otherwise neither of us could sleep. The second and far less pressing was the fact that there was a second smaller property that sits adjacent that we were not aware of. This is only a problem as we were unaware and felt it impeded slightly on our expected privacy. Beyond those two issues I would have no problem recommending this property to others and if the bed issue was remedied I would give this property a 5.
