Not very impressive customer service, no note or communication of any kind about getting into my cabin. When I called from the lobby, the answer was, "The key is in it it's unlocked. It's the middle one." The room was cold. Even messing with the settings didn't seem to keep it warm during the night. Not enough blankets on the bed. The coffee pot was dirty, yuk.

Hannah was great! The view and lodge were just as pictured!

- The view. We even saw eagles in the morning! - Mini fridge, ustensiles and microwave available.

- Bed were not that comfy - We were not sure how to get on the upper bed, couldn't find the stairs - Fridge noisy

Had a little trouble with the heater, but we got it resolved satisfactorily.

The door didn’t close or lock correctly, the blinds were very difficult to close for a senior citizen, and there were no instructions for the heating and air-conditioning, again difficult for a senior citizen to figure out.

Miranda, the grounds manager, was accommodating and helpful. Just a really nice person who knows Haines and is happy to help in any way to make your stay comfortable. The views of the water and mountains out front are incredible, and the cabins while rustic are clean and cozy. Far enough away from downtown Haines for more privacy and quiet, while close enough you can walk (about 2.5 scenic miles by foot) to restaurants and shops. Great value for an authentic way to experience your stay in Haines!
