This accommodation, and its location, are exceptional. Located on the banks of the Periyar river, the views are incredible, and there is a magnificent infinity pool. Very serene and peaceful. There is Wi-Fi, A/C, and all the amenities one needs. We used Uber during our time here, which was accurately priced and very reliable (staff at Cranganor can also organise taxis). There is also a spa on the property. Breakfast was complimentary, and lunch and dinner can be pre-ordered (can recommend the seafood curries!).

Cranganor exceeded all expectations. It looks great but in reality is fantastic. The staff were attentive and helpful, always responding to requests, the food really amazing, a huge selection, generous portions, comfortable rooms, quiet local area. We enjoyed an evening boat trip along the river and that was about all we wanted to do except relax by the pool, in a hammock or in the games area. The spa offered a range of treatments which we also enjoyed and would highly recommend. A wonderful stay.

Beautiful relaxing property…..fantastic location beside the river….excellent taxi service from Albi…as a solo lady travelling on her own felt very safe & truly had a super few days. Food, service etc 10/10. Ayurvedic treatments excellent….

Good location for the airport, 30 mins, without being an 'airport hotel' . Friendly staff, lovely and relaxing grounds, good rooms.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent. The location was beautiful with a tranquil atmosphere. We stayed for two nights and just relaxed enjoying the lovely view from our private first floor balcony.

The property is so beautiful and peaceful. The room was very neat with all basic amenities. The bed and pillows were so cosy and comfortable. it was just an extra ordinary experience just to sit and watch the pool and the river. All the staff were so friendly and real. Justin, Jeevan, cleaning staff , kitchen staff were all behaved like ur family. Special thanks to Shree for taking beautiful pics for me. if u need a fully relaxed staycation this will be the best. Wow! Where can I start with the positives of this place? Everything right from the scented towels, to the excellent customer service, great custom-made meals, breathtaking river views, serene & cooling sea breeze, the song birds & squirrels, the lush lawns & fruit filled trees, the quiet fishing spot, the calm rocking in the breezy hammocks, the balcony views of the moon-lit river by night, the infinity pool and lastly the still feeling of doing nothing! This place is perfect for people who are looking for a retreat from a fast paced life. I would go back any day! Special thanks to the very homely staff, Justin, Jeevan, Sreeshant, the garden helpers and kitchen staff Baby & Anish. My parents & I had a great stay. 100% recommend.

For those that are afraid of the house lizards, be aware your going to see 1-2 at night due to the nature of the property.

Didn’t have a gym

We visited Cranganor with our extended family, a big group of eight people, and it felt like home. As soon as we arrived at the location we were greeted by a fresh welcoming wind, blowing over from the river, that swept up our hair and clothes and filled us with joy. The resort is airy, green and spacious. There's a lovely pool to splash about in and hammocks to laze around. Every day we picked items from the menu and enjoyed freshly prepared food. We found the staff to be attentive and they catered to our needs without fuss or delay. The room we occupied was one of the pool side rooms and we had a shower with a semi open roof, which we found really special. We saw a variety of wildlife in the space from chameleons and dragonflies to fireflies. Our daughter even befriended a cow in the neighbouring house. We would love to return and stay in this peaceful beautiful space.

There weren't any elaborate play options for kids. Although ours managed to entertain themselves with the pool, hammocks and swings.

Cannot expect a better breakfast ..it was close to home food.. we were tired of standard buffet menus at every other hotel before this
