River Inn Thredbo is located next to the Gunbarrel Chair Lift, allowing guests to ski in and ski out of the resort. You can ski to the chairlift to access the whole mountain, or ski to the Friday Flat beginner’s area.

It was ideally located just a short walk to the chairlift, riverfront and shops.
It was very noisy during the night

It’s a light continental breakfast. Not really appropriate for a day of hiking

It was not the room as displayed in the photos, the photos showed a room with a balcony and lots of space and the room we got was very small.

Asked for a quad room with only three people in single beds.
However we were given two single beds and a mattress on the floor.

We liked the setting, meals were surprisingly good and drinks reasonably priced. The bar was nicely fitted out with enjoyable background….not intrusively loud. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast options pretty good. Coat hook and storage in room was great! Wife said the pillow was excellent…better than her’s from home, and she keeps buying them! Kogan heater worked well.
The breakfast space was a design/decore disaster and cold. It would have been nice to have the heater on in the lounge over a snowy Easter. Small tea cups in the room belong to the 1970s….mugs please. We got wine glasses from bar, as none in room, but that was okay. It would be nice to have a snow photo or canvas on the walled to add a little class.

It was close to the chairlift and village and yet not too busy.

Staff were amazing. Excellent customer service. Happy and very helpful. Great lady running kitchen( breakfast) Breakfast was great and excellent guys on reception. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to everyone. Great to see staff working together to provide excellent customer service. This made our stay so enjoyable. Thanks.

The rooms are so hot. Need better or more fans. Awful

Beds are extremely uncomfortable, I could feel every spring in the mattress. Room not big enough for number of occupants. Breakfast very very basic, very dated decor and dark. Restaurant wasn't opened. Never saw a staff member behind the desk.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
We could hear the baby next door crying, and the walls were very thin. The breakfast was VERY basic (aparantly the good stuff only comes out during winter) and the vaccuum cleaner was left in the middle of the breakfast dining area still plugged in (I packed it up and put it in a booth). No one was wiping the tables down after people had finished and packed up their own brekky dishes. Maybe they were short staffed?
The beds were uncomfortable and can feel the springs, and the doona covers were not fitting the grey/ brown (may have been white once) doona inside.

Booked a room with 4 beds but got two single beds and two mattresses on the floor. In breakfast there were only boiled eggs and toasts. Not value for money
